You have signed some decent players during pre-season but they are clearly not performing and with the wages that they are on i would not be a happy fan!!!!!

Presumably you've seen our performances to comment with such implied knowledge about how our signings may or may not be performing?

yeah,, but their injured mate!

whilst our current form has got me concerned i am going to wait until all our new signings are playing in the team before judging whether we have got a good enough squad or not. i personally believe we have got the players to keep us in this league,, i just hope i'm not proved wrong though  :)

Whilst you answer like this, you will encourage tosspots and spunk buckets on here. Ignore them and like little children they will get tired and drift off elsewhere

Our performances have not warranted some of the results we've had so far this season. We have hardly been playing like relegation candidates and that has been noted by several opposition managers.

I think you can put the bad form (but remember, not bad performances) down to a mixture of several things;

First thing being referee's. We've had a handful of awful ones already this season, which I reckon have cost us 3 or 4 points. Then you have the awful luck of some of the goals that have gone in against us... Some truly bizarre ones, like Smith punching a cross into the back of Morgan's head and into the net; last nights goal at Hillsborough, which took a horrid deflection; Pretty sure one of the Preston goals was shocking as well....

Then you have our rotten injury luck. McGugan was a massive blow, because he really pulls the stings in midfield, as well as being vitally important for taking freekicks. Joe Garner has been recovering from an op since last season, Anderson's the same, and Earnshaw who was in good form and scoring goals, has missed the last two games with a pulled hamstring. Add to that various, lesser, weekly occurences like Bennett and Davies pulling up and it really wears the squad thin at times.

Last night's result away at Wednesday was the best we've played away from home, this season, and we did not deserve to lose. We matched Wednesday for large parts, and were better than them in other parts, and this is against a team with a sterdy home record thus far.

I also seem to remember you only beating us because of a dodgy penalty given by the ref... who was blind to see your player trip over his own feet... the resulting goal then turning the tide of the game in your favour :dry:

I honestly feel with a fully fit squad we have the strongest squad, by some way, out of the 3 promoted sides, and one that should not struggle to finish mid-table or higher.

Things have conspired against us so far, and I don't think the table accurately reflects the quality of the team at this early stage... and remember, it is early doors! In a few months time, it might be the case that you're back here retracting your statements, or just too emabrassed to show up at all :nowink:

Very well put and i totally agree, just looking at 3 games this season swansea burnley and Wednesday luck and referess have cost us no less than 5 points. 2 bad decisions by the ref against burnley cost us 3 points points (neither 'fouls' were fouls) lucky deflection last night and their keeper having a brilliant game and sweansea a lucky first goal and a dodgy penalt.
