300K ain't going to pay many of Palaces outstanding bills but at least he will be off of their par roll. I just hope that he doesn't join ours.redchief said:

I would welcome him to the city ground if billy thinks he can help/do a job for us. I dont think he'll get in our midfield at the moment but good back-up. at 300k we can't really go wrong can we? he rated highly by alot at palace,

Whilst I agree with the sentiment, maybe we should look past that. From reading the Palace forum they seem to really rate him and at £300k he would be a bargin.
Besides he was at a championship club and we were in league one and hardly running away with it. I can understand him not wanting to drop a league.
If Billy and the transfer panel think he would improve our team I'm all for it. They haven't steered us wrong yet.

Like Leon Best, he would have been a good signing a couple of years ago.
Now he'd be a squad player at best...as Erik said, he's had numerous chances to join us but opted to go elsewhere. It's satisfying to know that it looks like he's very much missed out.

Apparently we'd agreed a fee with Brum well in advance of the window opening only to be strung along for weeks with his excessive wage demands, we then pulled out and he eventually joined Palace.
For that reason I doubt we'd be renewing our interest.

Also the season before my recollection is he rejected the chance to join us on loan, but could be wrong on that count. Either way I don't really think we need him now. McKenna, Moussi, McGugan, Cohen and Majewski are all better than him.

We can't play The Moose - Majeski - Cohen - McGugan & McKenna all in the same team now so what's the point.
BD says he's looking for a midfield goalscorer which is fair enough but Danns doesn't fit that bill with only 2 goals this term.
Ross McCormack would have been my choice after scoring 22 goals last season but he hasn't found the back of the net this season which might be down to injury though.

Against forest , he was largely anonymous other than the 2 shots , at no time did he try to take on his defender and put in a cross. Again , against boro yesterday , he was once again anonymous and presumbly got injured (or so crap) that he got replaced. Same goes for Ambrose.
