Thought id open up the Forest Player vote to the forum, to see what the general consensus is and to allow people who don't have Player to have a vote!!!

Base your choice upon the quality of the goal, the importance of the goal and the difficulty of opposition.

For me, its got to be Dexter Blackstock v Bristol City (but a close second for Magic v Derby), because since that goal (against tough opposition and in the dying seconds of the game) we just haven't looked back since!!!

I would have to agree. It turned a point into three during a time when they were desperately needed and probably gave us the momentum to pull away and get to safety. The others are crackers too, but for the sheer importance of the goal then that has to win it for me.

It's a no brainer for me. :)

That link doesn't work.

I think Blackstock v Bristol City will win this

Dex against Brizzle for me, that goal kept us in the division. At 2-1 down I was certain we were heading back to League One, it was one of the hell of a finish as well.

Raddy Magic's goal was sensational, sat in T2 I could see it was in all the way as well, but Dex's shades it because of the significance.

Honourable mention to Tyse at Citeh as well, living and working in Manchester made that one a bit special.

In terms of sheer class, technique, and ability, it has to be betwen Majewski and Tyson.

Blackstock's does carry great significance, though.

In terms of control, poise and finesse, it has to be adebola to make it 2-0 against preston

Great positioning too after the hapless bald dude played him onside :)

For its sheer importance, I'd choose Dexter Blackstock's goal against Bristol as I think that shaped the end of our season and we haven't looked back since.

Lewis McGugan deserves some credit for having four goals on the shortlist as well.

The best goal in the purest form of the word would be Raddy's, though.

I already emailed Forest Player with my selection and it was Dex.

I'm sure I've put this on another thread somewhere...

For spectacular it's got to be Raddy v the Sheep, closely followed by Lewis v Donny.

For significance it is Dex v Brizzle

But for sublime football quality & team work - I would go with Earnies 1st v Fester

Definitely the best goal.

The others are good for other reasons, the Goal v Fester was a superb move.

No wonder my post count..
1) Majewski v Derby
2) Blackstock v Brizzle
3) Tyson v City

Majewski just about pipped it there. Everytime I watch Blackstocks goal I get shivers down my spine. That goal meant so much to so many people, even Dex as you can see with his celebration.

Dex vs Brizzle gets it for me.

The importance of that goal is unreal. It really did keep us in this league. I was at work at the time and had sky sports news centre on. At some point in the dying minutes it failed to update that we'd scored a winner, so I got in a mood and glumly shut down my computer at the end of my shift, which was about 10 minutes after full time. I walked out via one of the canteens and glanced at sky sports news on the telly and saw our result come up: Nottingham Forest 3 - 2 Bristol City. I jumped up and punched the air and I hadn't even seen the goal - that's how important it was.

Magic against the shaggers was sublime though and gets my silver medal. I was in T2 also MI5 Red and just watched it arrow into the top corner.

Where's Garners goal at home against Southampton?

The ball from Shorey for Dele's goal against PNE was great too as was the passing build up to McGugan's, especially Wilsons ball out to the left. McKenna's wasn't bad either! lol

McGugan's goal against Preston is the best team goal I have seen in the Championship this year.
Majik's goal from that list.

That was in 2008 wasn't it? Unless you mean the one on the final day of the season?

Gotta agree with the current top 3!

Though Dexter's goal meant the most, and Nathan's against Man City was a stunning striker - Majewski's goal meant a lot and was a brilliant strike too and will be part of Forest legend in years to come! I couldn't tire of watching any of those goals though.

Raddy's goal was amazing, but I've voted for Blackstock's goal against Brizzle as it was a fantastic strike that meant we had a great chance of surviving! Also I placed my first ever bet pre-game that Forest will win and Blackstock ensured that in the 91st minute!
