Yeah don't mind this link at all on paper - fast, two footed, technically gifted, played more games wide than in his 'proper' position of CAM. Decent returns from left wing too.

One of those where, provided the fees aren't too high, it's worthwhile for everyone with a buy option.

His father was a good player, last i heard was the family causing shit at the World Cup because of his dad and the manager who used to be team mates.

What i don't know is if the hype behind this lad is justified or is it Americanised?

Suspect seen as a potential long term replacement perhaps if it works out who will be used wide in the shorter term.

He apparently sees CAM as his best position but has slightly better returns from the left. Apparently had good impact off the bench last season for them which might bode well.

I personally have no idea what went on with the national team, and frankly don't care as long as it wasn't anything illegal. If he's good, get him in.

Could be a great player, in the right environment, but he’s a disruptive dick, and his family are about ten-times worse than the family of Anel Ahmedhodzic, which we personally know very well.

There is - undoubtedly - a player there; he came to Germany with huge, and as yet untapped potential, but there are some significant drawbacks as well.

Caveat Emptor.

Ok quick highlights check and he's definitely a 10 that obviously can play out wide but prefers the 10. Like the look of him.

He, and his family, are definitely dicks.

But he's also got the kind of potential that could lead to him being genuinely world class.

It's worth a punt. Especially on a loan to buy. If he's too much trouble we bin him off.

There's some thing about his dad getting his old coach into bother for an historical assault on a woman - if I understand correctly he (Berholter) seems to have come out of the situation OK while Gio's has the rep of a trouble causer?
