George Boyd

What are people's feeling on this guy?

Personally I don't think he has been given a fair crack of the whip. Posh are touting him around to Championship clubs for around £2m. Would you like to see Forest go for him?

I don't think he was ever a Billy Davies signing and this explains his lack of match action despite us playing 500k for his services for a few months.

The lad has undoubted talent though and I think if we let him go we could live to regret it.

Ipswich Town are the latest club to be linked...

My fear is we won't, someone else will and him will come back and rip up to shreds next season

Indeed. I've seen enough of him the last three seasons to know just how good he is.

People have often labelled him 'lazy' but that's just because he has no pace, but still makes the game look easy. He's the natural succesor to the sweet left-feet of John Robertson and Ian Woan.

I don't think we will sign him simply because I don't think Billy ever wanted him in the 1st place.

Unfortunately I think it's a case of Billy throwing his toys out of the pram again to prove a point to the board.

I really hope we do get him, as if hes given a pre season to gel with the team, he could fit in perfectly.

The only reason he didnt this season, is because when he arrived we were built on 2 very pacey wingers going forward. Putting boyd into the side changes the dynamic and forces all the other players to adjust thier game.

If he has a team built with his talents in mind- he'll be excellent.

Sign him up.

Yep, I'd love for us to sign him. He's obviously good enough, as he managed to score 12 goals in a very poor Peterbrough side.

He's looked skilful and comfortable on the ball whenever he's had it, and in my opinion should have started instead of Tyson in both playoff games.

Peterborough will not let star striker George Boyd leave the club on the cheap, according to director of football Barry Fry.

Boyd is said to be courting the interest of several potential suitors, with the likes of Ipswich, Derby and Middlesbrough all believed to be interested in snapping up the 24-year-old.

The front man had revealed his desire to join Championship side Nottingham Forest after spending time on loan at the City Ground last season.

Having him in the side could encourage a more patient, passing game too.

Wouldn't want to be the full back marking that tricksy bugger only to have tyson or Anderson coming on later in the game.

I'd really like us to sign this lad. Seems to me that es not been given a chance, but when he has, he's looked decent.

Weather him not getting a fair chance is down to the fact he was injured & not 100% fit OR BD didn't want him and he was proving a point i don't know.

It seems to be that Boyd does want to stay here, that much is clear. However, OnlyTheTruth (who IMO is a reliable source) mentioned Forest won't be signing him a few weeks ago I think?? Disappointing if this is the case!

Boyd or Tyson? Only one winner for me!

I like the sound of the tyson plus cash and it would be good to have a midfielder who could pass a ball to feet, raddy aside. He's also a serious goal threat and how many of our players look capable of getting double figures?I can't see him being a tricky next season sadly

Would be a good deal for Posh as Tyson can be dangerous at that level.

Whether he would take the step down is another matter though

True.

But if he were to be transfer listed by Billy, then maybe he could be tempted by the thought of a quick return to the Championship?

From the few times I've seen Tyson play this season I think it is probably best if he does move on.

I wouldn't be adverse to a swap for Tyson.

I still think we could do with another attacking player with a lot of pace though, just with more skill than Tyson and preferably able to cross the ball too. Or we could actually play McCleary!

What I don't want is us getting bogged down with attacking players, especially ones who don't give 100% effort and commitment for 90 minutes.
