No, it shows that 'maths' is an ALTERNATIVE spelling. Maths is the plural - i.e. multiple instances of math.

Yes alternative used in the UK, math is the US spelling.

Actually it states

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/math

Math - short form of mathematics - (North America)

Alternative spellings: maths (UK, Australia)

and under maths

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/maths

Maths short form of mathematics - (British, Australia, Ireland, New )Zealand

Maths plural of math when used to mean maths course (North America)

Alternative Spelling - math (North America)

Oxford English Dictionary

http://www.askoxford.com/concise_oed/maths?view=uk

maths noun short for mathematics

(N. Amer) math

so unless we're suddenly american the spelling is "maths"

mathematic isn't even a word it only exists in the plural.

Inside track on this guys, they're prepared to lose him for nothing when his contract expires. There's some questionable (in terms of logic AND math) figures floating around the club that suggest promotion from League 1 to the Championship is worth £4m to them and the chairman believes they will be promoted if they keep Boyd and won't be if they lose him. So, he's going with the logic that, unless someone gives them £4m for him, then they'll keep him for the year.

Congo - Do Peterborough NEED the money from his sale?

No.

Despite their attendances being disapointing for a Championship club last season (the games with Forest, West Brom and Newcastle being exceptions), they've spent well within their means, especially on player salaries, which was a large reason for them not being competitive last season. Most of their players are recent purchases from the conference and are on salaries which are still very average in League 1 as a result. The club isn't making money but it's not really losing it either.

Their are rumours floating around about the chairman having lost a lot of money in the recession and he recently put part a (according to him unused) part of his business into administration. But, as yet this hasn't been bourne out in the cllubs dealings, as he's contnued to bank-roll any transfer fees last season's 4 managers requested (not to mentione sizeable pay-offs for sacking two of those managers).

Whilst they are desperately in need of a new stadium (London Road is literally crumbling in places), the Council recently purchased the land the ground stands on (sold by Barry Fry to mate some years back to bail the club out) and they intend to build a brand new 'community facility', incoroporating a football stadium on it, as part of a major redevelopment of the criminally under utilised land around the River Nene.

Doesn't matter. Klinsi writes in English not Polish. J doesn't write in Norwegian.

You should write in the Queens English Mr Yankee Doodle Congo Red.

Sorry old chap, didn't catch a word of that, I don't understand Australian.

In which case they will probably hold out until he goes on a free. If they aren't desperate for the money then they are going to take the gamble. fairplay I guess

You didn't mean a single instance there though surely? You meant the discipline of mathematics, to whose rules the figures didn't conform.

Why the big discussion ?
"Math" is used by the same pretentious knob heads who say "period" when meaning full stop.
If people want to speak or write in an American fashion then I can only assume they want to be Americans so why don't they f*** off and live there. :)

Time of the month?

I'm surprised at your Americanisms given your background in the Congo, it's one of the few places on earth they haven't yet invaded.
