Bye bye Boydy
March 2nd, 2010

Londonroad.net understands that George Boyd will today join Nottingham Forest on loan, with a view to a permanent transfer.

Keep an eye on the London Road End forum for more news as it breaks.

We’re sure we speak for all our members when we thanks George for his time here and wish him all the best for the future.

I thought he were off to Boro? There current captain and star player.

I can't see it myself, he must be worth £2-3 million.

But then again, who want's to play in League 1!

Never heard of him - where does he play? Can he play left back? Can he sing?

He is a bloody good left midfielder, I believe similar to Anderson but a better player. Highly rated and interesting a number of high end clubs and most likely lower end premiership clubs... I imagine we have/will pay a good £2m for him should this be true, but a nice aquasition if true!

Miserable git, and proud.
More to this story than some may think, source on another forum is a very trusted person indeed, not the sort to spread bullshite just to wind folk up.

This would be a fabulous signing. I'm going to be pessimistic about the chances of this occuring, but were it to be the case, I shall be very happy indeed. Scores goals, plays on the left or in the middle, creative, tricky, brilliant player.

He'd fit in better in Newcastle with that haircut.

He's good, but over-rated by most people who seem to describe him. Wouldn't say no.

Be very happy if true and BBC article not much to worry about as many players issue such statements just before they leave to show it is clubs decision not theirs. He is a very good player tricky but hard working and with goals in him as well. Am I right in thinking his fee from non league to Peterborough was a new record?

Would be a great signing. Here's hoping...

More randomly, were he to sign for Middlesboro, he would surely claim the record for playing for the most teams called Boro ie Stevenage, Posh & Middlesboro

I agree that if he's coming Trentside he needs to lose the late 80s coke-dealer hairstyle or face a constant barrage of the gypo chant from A Block

Posh have refused to confirm or deny rumours that Posh skipper George Boyd is in talks about a loan move to Championship rivals Nottingham Forest. Boyd spoke to the local media yesterday and declared that he was happy to stay at London Road for the rest of this season.

Posh have recalled left-winger Dominic Green from his loan spell at Chesterfield.

Green scored twice in 10 appearances for 'The Spirites'.

Has anyone checked out 'The London Road forum' to see what it says?

Congo? Have you heard owt?

Spurs have recalled Jake Livermore from Posh too. He's a midfielder, so maybe the lad who was at Chesterfield is to cover for his loss.

I don't know either way, but do you think this would be with the plan of putting Cohen at left-back instead of Perch?

"Posh have recalled left-winger Dominic Green from his loan spell at Chesterfield"

Don't want to jinx things but the above makes it sound like a strong possibility :-D

Unlikely, since Billy tends to put Cohen on the right...
