Gary Crosby

You missed out the fact that he was the worst crosser of a ball in the history of the game.

One of my favourites when i was young. Check out videos of him on youtube, he was a handfull for any full-back.

He's great , he's a bit of a one trick pony but that one trick always seemed to do the trick more often than not. :D A real cheeky bugger.
I wouldn't say he's the worse crosser , that honor should go to Franz Carr. Carr can beat the full back 10 times out of 10 and get clear and then he'll waste it by crossing the ball out of play.

Franz Carr should have been the greatest winger the world has ever seen, pity he could only make 1 decent cross in about 10,000 attempts.

One trick pony but Cloughie liked him better than Carr. Neither could cross a bal like Robbo

Nobody could cross a ball like Robbo..

He always seemed so frail to me but was another good cog in Cloughie's late 80's side.
Not old enough to see the likes of Robertson play live but wasn't it good seeing forest playing proper wingers like Crosby, Woanie and Franzie.
Nottingham Forest will be playing, 4, 4 facking 2! :)

Crosby was s**te, a very annoying player.

Apart from that game the weekend before the 1988 F.A.Cup Semi-Final.

He had the scousers in a right pickle with his little step overs. We won 2-1 and I seem to recall their goal was rather lucky with Chief w**ker of w**kville, otherwise known as John Aldridge, getting a dodgy pen (what a surprise hey?). The week after, they had him sussed out, and for me, that was that.

Cloughie loved him though. I always thought that he was playing him just to make a point to us supporters, who were getting at him, that he was in charge and our opinion meant nowt.

Quite right too.

I'm a Forest supporter mainly due to Gary living down the road form me in a little Lincolnshire village. Used to see the Forest logo on his car on the way to primary school in the mornings.

My dad has an Anecdote where he went to a Lincoln United game once with my uncle.

They were particulary impressed by a winger called Gary Crosby.

My dad said he would is what Forest needed, just a passing comment.

Lo and behold a few years later it happened.

The thing is I asked my uncle in private and he backed it up.

Don't call Gary, he is my relative. He is and will always be the best player Forest have ever had!
