Unless we have better strikers moving in, this is a very bad move for us.

This reminds me off the season after the playoff Sheff Utd defeat when we weakend the squad in the summer rather than stregthend it and then wondered why we didn't do as well!

Huddersfield's style of play will suit him as well, they play it on the deck and have a top quality manager in Lee Clarke.
I think its a good move for him personally (assuming we have a recall clause and have someone lined up to replace him).
If we have neither of those though then I agree, its an awful move.

Shocking from billy ...didnt shut up last year about needing 6 strikers and he lets our best prospect off for 6 months..Adebola isnt goin to get us goals.Mcgoldrick cant if he's injured and wouldnt even if he was fully fit.Tyson isnt a natural finisher so we're left with 2...Im goin to chuck myself in the river if we dont start signing players soon..

I rate Garner as our current 3rd best stiker behind Earnshaw & Blackstock and in front of McGoldrick, Tyson & Adebola.
We've been linked with Simpson so lets hope we sign him.

They player was out of the game for a long time. He has barely started a game up front for us. He is young and needs first team experience. This is a good move for us, it will give us a fully fit and hopefully confident and on fire player for January onwards when the going gets tough as it did for us this year.

Hmm, if he plays consistantly for Huddersfield I can see him moving permanantly. I guess he just doesn't fit Billy's criteria and it says something about Billy's style if he prefers the likes of Tyson, Blackstock, McGoldrick and Adebola to Garner. I bet if he had a choice he'd be rid of Earnie in a shot too.

He's a decent league 1 striker at his very best, he's obviously not good enough even though mcgold is injured. Glad its a loan, he will score goals in that league and bump his value up somewhat.

I agree, that or get some games under his belt and when he comes back in December he will be much better placed to take over some of our other strikers which might pick up injuries in the next 5 months.
