Good news. I like Joe and has been great in the past couple of games.

This is excellent news. You could tell Joe was getting frustrated whilst out of the squad, but his attitude was excellent when he returned.

He has a great future ahead

Great news, always rated him as a prospect for the future :) Glad were keeping hold of him.

Pleased to hear this, as I also think Garner will become a top player at this level. I was worried for a while that Billy didn't rate him but it seems that he was simply playing the form strikers and doing what was needed to get the results.

Funny how many people were worried that Billy holds grudges and doesn't give players a fair chance. The truth seems to be exactly the opposite - everyone that has fallen from favour has been given a fair chance to put things right and received credit when they have done so.

It seems all the negative comments regarding BD is more sour grapes than anything!!!

Finally for the first time since arguably Brian Clough we have the right mindset and manager at the club. Forest please don't waste this opportunity.

good to hear about joe a mate of mine met joe in town the other week, when asked if he expected t be at the CG next season his reply was 'no the manager doesn't rate me' . So for this to come out im happy as i think he's a great player young and petulant but with alot of talent!

I've seen him in town before a while ago and asked him why he's not playing anymore and his reaction without words was basically he's not in favour and he 'doesn't play anymore'.

However, this is good news as I think once he's matured a bit he'll be like a poor mans Wayne Rooney.

I thinkt his is the area where Billy has really won me over. Whilst I shared Rich's initial concerns about running down players and such-like in the press, it would seem that this was part of Billy's overall plan and his judgement of the players at his disposal, their characters and when to give people a pat on the back or a kick up the backside seems to be generally spot on.

Fantastic news. Not just because I'd like to see a £1m signing given the chance to pay dividends, but because it's evidence of a much more healthy mentality at the club when a sulky player like him can be left out but instead of being transfer listed has apparantly knuckled down and has been given a chance.

I agree, was very much questioning him when he started talking about his massive clear out and criticising the players, but its worked and i'm impressed. Long may it continue into next season!

I agree with both points. I too was worried that in this day and age that tactic would not work but fair play it has. It was my only concern with BD and he is proving to be a good choice for us, discipline has been lacking for a long time and consistency.

Thought he was going to leave. I'm glad about this, he's a very good player

I love the phrase where BD Marked Joe Garners card...............what a nice way of describing several '' Issues '' between the two, at long last we have a no nonsense manager, players either do what they asked or dealt with, their choice.

Did not make it clear that I find Garner a very attractive proposition, very rough about the edges and finds any trouble going far too easily for a player intent on going places. A Little maturity and we will have a superb player on our hands.
