Tried but he thought the grass was greener, his choice. Not bothered where he is now, he walked out on Forest

still plays for Watford.

I remember he was very good, i belive he was captain when Des didnt play.

i remember his finest game, 3-2 at home to Crystal Palace, he smashed 2 in.

Also, in his last game at the club against a already promoted west brom in 2004, where we won 2-1, he kissed his badge when he scored, only to move to leiscter days later.

He played in 3 games for Watford after he signed from Leicester in 2007.

His last game was against Spuds on 17-03-2007 and has been injured ever since.

Forest's equivelant of Ramsay MacDonald - once the darling of the reds, he betrayed us to join with the blues and the yellows; but found himself hamstrung and a shadow of the man he once was thereafter.

i vaguely remember that he did something to his knee??? Great shame as he certainly did have potential!

I remember in Hart's first season thinking that he had the potential to be better than Jenas.
Funny how things turn out isnt it.

He started out very well, became mediocre and then played a few blinders in a more advanced role just before leaving.

Yeah we pushed him up to the top of the diamond and he looked great.

He had a lot of ability and potential, as much as Reidy, and for whatever reason decided a move was best... a bad choice to say the least.

To be fair to him he played at least at the same level and mostly higher than Forest, so probably not a bad choice.

I imagine he earned more than we'd have paid him too.

To a degree I agree, fantastic talent but he went the wrong way!

The badge kissing and then chuffing off to Fester was a bad choice, not even a shrewd one!

If we'd have had the opportunity two years ago I would have quite happily taken him back though, commons is different, i'd never want to see him near our club again!

he was very handsome

Everyone thinks he walked out on us. He didnt. The stick he got was undeserved.

I remember very well a post match interview towards the end of our survival season. Fray commented that other players had been offered new deals. Williams said he hadn't been offered anything, so assumed he would be going.

The week later it turned out he had been offered a new contract.... through the post!! Probably a shit offer too.

No wonder he left.

Never gave the ball away but passed sideways or backwards. He wasnt that good or that handsome.

He was well over-rated by many forest fans imo, as his career has proven since leaving us. I always thought he was an average midfielder, with potential, but nowt special.

Anyone who leaves Forest to play for those scumbags deserves everything they get. What a twat.

Things started go down hill for Forest soon after he left not that it was all because he left us.

So not turning up to contract talks because his agent was far too busy trying to get a better offer from another a club, was not walking out on us ?. How would you decribe that behaviour ?

No he publicy said he hadn't been offered anything. On hearing this the club sent him an offer through the post just so they could say they offered him something.

Either way who gives a shit if he went to Leicster? He wasn't a Forest fan.
