Anybody know why BD has not been playing Mcleary regularly as far as i can see he is a lot better than Newbold and Garner with bags more ability and pace.
I think he should have introduced him earlier in the game against birmingham and taken garner off at half time.

If you'd seen McCleary against Cardiff, you'd feel different.
I was at cardiff but cannot understand what everyone was moaning at mcleary for.
The only one who did anything of any use at cardiff was morgan.
Mcgugan was also very poor at cardiff yet did not get as much aggro as mcleary.

McCleary controlled nothign all afternoon. At some point all the other players managed to at least pass it or somehting.

I really like McLeary. He offers us something different and actually runs at players, when in the same situation, many of the other players would turn and pass it back (not that it's necessarily a bad thing). When he's on the pitch, he seems to make things happen, and when he's on song he's pretty much untouchable. yes, when he tries tricks, he sometimes gets them wrong but even Ronaldo makes mistakes. Trickery is part of his game and he uses that and his pace to go past players.

People seem to forget he's still very young and only started playing professional football last year, he's done amazingly well to be at the level he's at now in a short space of time, and he will only get better. I'm confident that if he gets a decent run in the side, he'll turn out to be an awesome player for us.

I suppose because you give fact a capital F, that makes it a - Fact?

He obviously is good enough. He was good in both games agaisnt the sheep, and he often comes off the bench and makes a difference. He seems to play badly when he starts games. But hes been in Pro football for ONE year. Get off his back.

He is probably behind Anderson the best winger at the club. Now that concerns me but that doesn't make him "not good enough" To be honest I think he is a good player.

Sure he does over do it sometimes but hey he is a 21 year old who has only just tasted professional football properly let alone the championship. If perfectly honest I would say he should be going out on loan somewhere to get expierence etc. etc. to start your professional career coming up against some of the full backs that have only just dropped out the premiership is not exactly a breeze.

Unfortunately we do not have the resources to be able to do that therefore we have to play him. He shows glimmers of great potential with his pace etc. His finishing ability does need improvement and he needs to learn when to cross the ball and when to pass and when not to do fancy tricks etc. however he has been thrown in at the deep end the least he deserves is some patience.

Why are people putting Cardiff against him?

McGugan, apart from yesterday, has had a season full of stinkers yet strolls into the 1st XI.

McCleary has the potential to be a massive threat to the opposition when he plays, shown perfectly vs Derby.

I have noticed that when someone ends their sentence with "Fact" the preceeding statement is almost invariably bollocks.

Julia Roberts was a hedgehog and dressed almost always in drag. She liked to do clitoris wailing. FACT.

When someone on here doesn't like a player for whatever reason, they will only highlight the players negatives and will totally overlook the players positives and the games he's done well in and made a difference ie, cardiff h, qpr h & a, swed, derby plus others. It's very easy to write off a player with GM's background, he just makes a good scapegoat. I have no doubt he would be rated a lot higher had he come through the accademy or another pro club.
Considering where he has come from, his age and how far he has come in a year I'd be comfortable in saying he'd be a quality CCC player in a couple of years (IF) given the time to develop.

He certainly has potential... nobody can dispute that. I happen to think that in a couple of years we will really start to see what Calderwood saw in him. However, now is not the time to be giving unproven youngsters first team experience. We are very much in a relegation battle and need players with a little more than raw potential to get us out of this mess.

I think BD is resting certain players. I think he mentioned in one post match interview that certain players in the squad will need to be rested occasionally....he seems to be quite protective of the "young lads".

Personally I think McCleary has contributed quite a bit to the team so far, especially considering where he came from and how much we paid for him. Sure, he's not the finished article but how many finished articles are there at his age?

This is precisely why we need to being in a couple of experienced heads on loan. A couple of loan signings are not going to financially cripple the club in any way.

We have to remember that Garath is from the Pearce and Woan school of football. That they have been the school star, but have not had the experence from the age of 8 as most footballrs have nowadays. He has been working a job like the most of us from an age whereas Perchy and Wes were in the academy. It is no surprise he has a catch up game to play, but mark my words. He will be a legend at Forest in years to come like Woany ! One of the few players who ain't scared to attack the full-backs

What really annoys me is that Clitoris wailing has never been considered as a possible olympic event.

Damn those Chinese bastards.

When is the time were already giving firtst team experiance due to injurys to the likes of byrne and newbold. Why would mcleary do any worse?

Davies clearly sees McCleary as a right winger, hence why he has preferred to use Newbold when he has needed a striker...
