Gareth Bale - a no go...

At this precise moment, Shorey is a better player anyway.

If we can at least secure him until the end of the season, we have no cause to worry about missing Bale.

To be honest i cant see him coming here anyway, if not then i would be more than happy to see Shorey signed permanently !

I think Bale could easily move to another Premier League club if Spurs were looking to sell, I do hope we try and put a bid in for Shorey though.

Nickey Shorey must shorely be our priority and Bale would be the cherry on the top.

As it stands at the moment I'd rather we signed Shorey, partly because he's the better player but also because I believe he wouldn't cost as much as Bale.

Also I seem to remember Redknapp saying there was no way Spurs would be selling Gunter at the beginning of the season ..... and look what happened there :p

At the time, I remeber they signed a lot of defenders... And Gunter must of been down the pecking order..

Agreed! Shorey is that good he doesn't even look as though he's trying! (I wish he'd show some emotion though - cool character 8))

If we sign Bale it won't be as a left-back. He's more likely to be playing on the left side of midfield.

The bloody African Cup of nations is threatening to scupper this. The thing with gunter was that Spurs had about 4 rightbacks.

How many left backs do they have?

If history has taught us anything, it's that you can kill anyone.

Oops. Sorry. Buy anyone.

Went a bit Godfather there.

Well if it looks like we wont be getting Bale, i hope that they get Shorey signed up asap! and i hope that Billy boy gets the other intended targets also, who ever they may be!

But Shorey for me is pure class and he needs to be signed!

Newspaper's have linked Spurs with Figueroa and Belhadj in recent days, both left backs and what with their chairman's recent statement, that they have to sell to buy...?

Surely nobody actually thought we'd get Bale anyway!

Utter Jackanory from the very beginning.

Only those who tought Dawson would drive him here and share the cost the removal's van ;)
