Games in hand are worth two in yer bush

So Newcastle and Yam Bromich Yambion are playing out their 25th games, and we're on 26, how has this happened? Who did we play against to be one ahead and when? Who have they got in their games in hand?

Obviously this will be interesting given the game tonight (1-1 as I type).

Christmas weather postponements.

If I can shag up old fixture lists I'll tell you who they were supposed to play.

They both had a game called off during the big freeze.

The Baggies' game in hand is a very tough away game at Blackpool but I am not sure about Newcastle. To be honest, I find it hard to look beyond our game with QPR next week though.

Nothing better than us to have already picked up our points and the chasing pack still needing to play theirs.

Both West Brom and Newcastle have some tough fixtures coming up too. Granted, ours are no picnic, but they look far better than Brom or Newcastle's :)

went to school in Sheffield and when i saw we had both teams in Febuary i knew that was fate .......said all along that we'll get to Feb unbeaten and then we will see how good Billy is!!!!

Febuary is a defining month for the current top three but i have faith ..

im hoping for 12 points out of a possible 18.

if we get that we will be stand a very good chance of being promoted!

Exactly how I feel. Those other teams are now looking at that game in hand and thinking that they HAVE to win it.

The QPR game is going to be crucial. They are such a mixed bag at the moment, I just hope we catch them on a another bad day. I think it could be a demolition job by us or extremely tight. Depends who turns up

Very much so. They have been on the end of just as many hidings as they have given out to others! It's another potential banana skina and the loss of Shorey is a concern.

Winning that game will put immense pressure on Newcastle as they do not play until the following evening. I am certain that not being in the FA cup any more and not having any games postponed over the Christmas period will pay dividends. I really hope that the Newcastle v Baggies 4th round tie goes to a replay and the winner stays in the competition a bit longer - perhaps neither of them will want to win that one!
