Great news ;D

"Nottingham Forest v QPR - latest update

The Club has received an e-mail from the Secretary at Nottingham Forest Football Club this morning (Friday) to confirm that their pitch is currently playable.

As long as there is not a severe deterioration in the weather overnight, the fixture at The City Ground will go ahead as planned."

Seeing as the weather is improving I can't see this changing.

not good news :nowink: They have quite a bit of snow down South, hopefully they can paralyze London again. I bet the QPR team will already be travelling up and staying in a hotel tonight though!

Depends what the weather is like for travelling QPR team/fans surely?

Yeah, it seems thats all clubs are bothered about really, health and safety. The pitch could be perfect but if the road are not safe they will call it off.

The M1 is having problems with snow today, but it should clear up by tomorrow, and judging by a few Nottingham webcams it seems the roads in Nottingham are fine.

I don't know why you lot are soo worried about this game, you do know we have NEVER won at City Ground right?

And Derby hadn't beaten us at home since 1972? History means jack!

Nah, if they can't make it we get a 10-0 :D

The clean sheet being the most pleasing thing!

Being called off would help us, give players a chance to recover and to get the lkes of Perch back.

Well if we using that logic can we wait until the end of the season so we can get back Akos Buzsaky (our only creative player) and Martin Rowlands (captain). by that time we should have Rowan Vine back (out for a year with a bad leg break). Not to mention we are also missing Lee Cook (suspension) and Pat Agyemang (hamstring).

Seriously guys you are making it out like it will be a hard game for you. We have only just started winning away, before a couple of weeks ago we had only won once away all season. We have a terrible away record.

Be more positive

I appreciate that you have players out as well mate we are in the middle of a massive injury crisis. 7 players out, several more playing with injuries and a bench full of teenagers. We already had one of the smallest squads in the league but now its ludicrous. We finished the game on Weds with a reserve striker and a centre half palying up front!

Hence we are a little worried, after all you are 8 unbeaten.

I would take a point for sure.

I agree with Famous, anything other than defeat would be a great result, given our circumstances.

"It's Game On
Fri 06 Feb 2009

Nottingham Forest's Kids for a Quid game with Queens Park Rangers tomorrow (kick-off 3pm) is definitely on.

The City Ground pitch is in perfect condition, despite the wintry weather that has hit large parts of the UK over the past day or so."

;D

Happy with that, I was worried it was going to be called off and my hotel/transport would be wasted. Really looking forward to a weekend in Nottingham now

1700 QPR tickets sold as of 12pm today, should be a good game.

Good luck Forest, hope the game goes well for you.

Game will be played tomorrow, the pitch is playable now and the forcast overnight is cold and dry so we should be good to go, however I will be checking the OS before I leave for the game tomorrow.
