Darren Purse has been released by Cardiff, would be a handy player to get signed up I think, plenty of experience.

Tommy Miller also was released from Ipswich aswell, experienced aswell.

If they are not good enough for Cardiff and Ipswitch, they are not good enough for us.

That's a bit of a poor mentality to have. Plenty of players around their age have been released and gone on to prove the club that let them wrong.

There are some good Freebies from Prem clubs.

Mokoena, Hunt, Baird, Ricketts, Ball, Turnbull, Hoefkens, Robinson, etc.

yeah lets clog up our team and wage bill with a bunch of rejects.

Michael Owen anyone? :D

Most teams, us included, can't afford to pay those premium prices. Why not get a few bargains? They're hardly "rejects" just because their contracts expired.

Always liked Tommy Miller, apart from that. I don't think we should just go for freebies.

Theres some decent freebie Keepers there - Hilario, Brown & Turnbull would all provide decent cover/ competition for Smith without us spending too much cash.

never.

he would be even worse for us than at newcastle.

Mr. "proven goal scoring record" is a complete waste of space - highly overrated, overpaid.

Most importantly he has contributed to them being in the position they are by not scoring enough.

A bit harsh. Chelsea have had plenty of opportunities to get rid of him since Mourhino left, but they kept him as back-up keeper to Cech. Also, he's always looked OK whenever I've seen him play, despite the press deciding they'd use him as a comedy item in their articles.

Not too bothered about Turnbull (plays for 'Boro), but Jason Brown would be a good signing. Was always well thought of when he was at Gillingham.

I've always liked Ross Turnbull, at 24 he still has a lot of years left in him to be a great keeper.

Is he not also in the Australia squad?

Turnbull's from the North East, you're getting him mixed up with Brad Jones, their other 'keeper who's an Aussie.

Lesda were linked with Turnbull at the weekend.

I concurr, always been adequate when he's stepped in at Blackburn. Was also a good keeper at this level for Gillingham.

Would love to see Nwankwo Kanu at Forest. Even if only for comedy value.

Michael Ball might be a decent signing too. He deserves a contract for stamping on Ronaldo.

Does anyone know the reason behind Ipswich releasing Miller?

I thought he was one of their better players?
The reason is Roy Keane, he got rid of him at Sunderland.

I notice that Julian Gray is set to leave Fulham for nothing this summer. I think he could still do a job at Championship level.
