It may be that this makes higher wages can be offered.

Can't really think of any free signings that we made over the years that stood out - MLJ did well for a free transfer , Des Walker 2nd spell at the time was just what we needed at the time , his experience was invaluable and Nicky Southall did well during his time here.

Did we ? Not sure either , thought he was on a free. Walker was a free transfer at a time when we had 0 to spend thanks to David Platt & our chairman.
