Appointed technical director. Great move to make an official appointment of this nature. The club obviously regard his input and work done over the summer as instrumental in where we are now.

I would imagine this means his responsibilities shift from Olympiakos to us full time now and that his role as chief scout there has ended.

I would hope not. What has, inevitably ended, as far as his role over here is concerned, is his watching all matches of the first team and the academy, being with the team on a daily basis, etc. I suppose he will be doing that at Forest now.

It appears to be a shift in responsibilities from Oly to Forest, more of a role reversal from one club to another.

Yes, something like that. Instead of being full-time here and working double shifts there, he will be full-time there and work double shifts here.

Yeah that's kind of how I see it too. I guess we'll see if Oly appointment someome else in the coming weeks but I'd be surprised if they did lose him completely as his work is invaluable.

Glad it happened in the summer and it's official now. Kept saying that we needed a football brain in a director role to oversee that side of things, the farce last December/Jan showed that and (touch wood) it already seems to be yielding positive results, hopefully it continues.

There is a video interview where he talked about this. He certainly does learn quickly and it's great to have people that identify their own mistakes and set about rectifying them rather than being stubborn.

Bringing him in full time is just as important acquisition as any player and Sabri. Another great piece of business by the club.
