Forest have also been known to go in with a low bid then bulk the offer up as negotiations go on..

As we have now demonstrated with the McKenna deal.

While Fox could well have been injured, I honestly think we will now get him. We've made a second bid apparantly and although turned down, we could now start to see Fox getting unsettled.

Cov fans reporting we have made a 3rd bid Link

Seems like players are not being offered contracts too. However the prices they are banding around are laughable. 4 - 5 million lol. We only paid near on 3 for Earnie ! Lots say they spoke to him but seems strange that none asked if he would come here !

Billy's really pushing for this one it seems ! Is he that good ?

From what i remember Ando tore him a new arsehole when we played them at the Ricoh

He had a mare against McCleary at the CG. Fox didn't play at the Ricoh.

Ando is a class player though. There aren't many wingers in this league with the pace of Anderson, McCleary and Tyson.

Fox is a very good, solid left back and would seriously enhance our defensive line.

Camp

Gunter Wes Chambers Fox

Would be an imposing back line, and hopefully one that would ship very few goals

You're quite right that McCleary ran rings around Fox at the CG, and made him look ordinary.

However, at that point, Coventry had secured their Champioship status and couldn't reach the playoffs, so the match might have been a bit of a 'dead rubber' for them?

That said, and as has been mentioned on the thread in Transfer Rumours, Fox was voted in the Championship team of the season alright, but then again we signed Lockwood (who purportedly was the best LB in League One) and he hardly set the City Ground alight!

Granted, Fox is better than Lockwood, but if (as is rumoured) we'd have to pay in the region of £2.5m, is he £1.5m (or so) better than Joel Lynch?
