Forget Derby Now

So over the season honours even between the clubs, two home wins and lots of handbags from both sides. Derby have the bragging rites that follow the last victory, now please lets stop this obsession with them.

Three points are three points who ever we gain or lose them to. There are no bonus points added to a victory following a local derby, so they are now history, they are fighting relegation, we are looking at promotion, so apart from the odd brain dead numpty who is still so excited that he needs to come on Forest boards, they are irrelevant to us.

They are gone for a length of time now, if we get promotion. So please lets have a return to Forest related matters on these boards, not the shaggers up the road. Before anyone tells me this because I don't live in their area, I was born in Nuthall and lived in Ilkeston before moving out here. I have relations married into the family who are Sheep fans. Rivalry is great and makes the blood pump that little bit quicker, obsession is unhealthy...

We have bigger fish to fry this season :tysonflag2: :tysonflag: :tysonflag2: :tysonflag:

Great post.

I didn't enjoy walking back to the train station through the gloating sheep but as far as I'm concerned we just move on and ignore them

It's the rest of the season that counts now. The Derby game is now history.

We need to continue the great support we have shown the team so far this season and I believe we will be up near the top come the end of season.

It's good to have it back to be honest but I feel it's the last for a season or two yet as you're on course to go up, I don't think we'll go down but somewhere around 14th awaits, if we can be bothered..

Good luck, yesterday doesn't really matter anymore it all depends on how you play again the Wendies and us against Sheff Utd, yours is probably a blip and ours a major turning point, such is football :)

Sadly I think I won't be able to for a while due to the number of d*rby and notts county supporting friends at 6th Form

Yup,

peed the unbeateb run went, peed it went to you lot and peed to get done by you again at PP. But the next three points are the most vital in the season now. I hope that Forest respond as WBA have responded since our win at the Hawthorns, it seemed a much needed kick up the backside was delivered, that night.JusT as I hope you gave us the kick up the bottom.

Actually quite glad that the unbeaten run has gone now - it was becoming an increasingly heavy yoke around the neck of the players. Every game the talk became more and more about how many games unbeaten we were. Now we have the chance to begin again and start picking up points without the added pressure of maintaining the run.
Well done lads - 19 unbeaten, a defeat in 20.
Let's make it 1 defeat in 30.

Not overly fussed about the unbeaten run to be honest. I'd rather have lost a couple of those away draws in favour of picking up 3 points in others. Though the momentum helps a lot.

Is it ironic that before I clicked on this thread, I'd forgotten all about Derby? :-*

have we got 110 points?

The oranges bars represent 52pts, using the right-hand scale.

The line represents league possition, using the left-hand scale.

Good post Sedgred. TBH, I'm fed up with all that anti-Direby chanting. Nobody hates Direby more than me, but we should totally ignore them until we get promoted - then a burst of abuse - then ignore them while they flounder in the lower leagues.

I have said this about three hundred times.
It really pisses me off when people start chanting: 'We hate Derby'.
I can remember being at Wembley, playing other teams and people started chanting that.
Derby is just a small town in Leicestershire.

I would'nt class myself as an excitable numpty on these forums but I suppose we all get carried away in the afterglow of what is after all one of the best derbies in the land.Fleet street take note. (not that they're listening, having their noses so far up Arsechelmancpool's backsides) Anyway I thought this an excellent post. We are potentially something big to fry,but alas at the moment you would not go near a Wok with us ... Promotion is in on the menu in Nottingham and this was just three points lost. ..................Wish you got more points for beating your local rivals tho :-*

Derby is a small town in the most beautiful county in the midlands... ... And most of our support comes from outside the city :p We're not called county for nothing chap. :)

One defeat is not the end of the world. Get behind the lads.

As the title says, one defeat since September and all of a sudden with the mood around here you'd think we were embroiled in a relegation battle and facing the prospect of League One. When the fans get behind the team that's when we really seem to perform. We had a bad day on Saturday, We lost 3 points (Incidentally the same number of points we'd lose to ANY defeat). Now is the time to show the lads we're behind them more than ever. The upcoming fixtures against teams who's points tally actually bears relevance to us are the real games that count.

I for one am looking forward to the rest of the season. I'm still in high spirits but the morale of those around me is starting to take its toll!
