Also noticed that Coral is linked on betting on the O/S.

No longer in a deal with Mr Chandler?

you'll find Coral on most PTV sites, the deal is with them, not Forest, VC are still very much club sponsors

I hope ours looks like the Everton site. Heck, nothing could be worse than our old club shop site!

This just makes me think of that 'Friends' episode..."More turkey, Mr Chandler"...

I would sooner hear about new signings , but this is good news for fans and the club (for revenue) as mentioned above everton have had this deal in place for a few years now and merchandise is very good and have exclusive clothing ranges (sergio tacchini travelling clothing) , i dont wear footie shirts but i do polo shirts etc.. forest have been lacking providing decent leisure wear for years ... so bring on the the fred perry Forest polo shirt !!!!

This is promising news, especially the relaunch of the online store because that has been an embarrassment for years now. I'm convinced that the club believed this deal would coincide with our return to the Premiership this season but the same people only have themselves to blame for scuppering our chances back in January.

It's about time some deals of a different kind were announced on the Official Site.

To think all this time we've been slagging Forest off for the lack of signings! Meanwhile the club were quietly going about their business, neogotiating this monster deal for the club shop so they can take even more money off us. Shame on us all!

still here...

Without a doubt! The way that article is worded, how it'll be the envy of many european sides etc.

We've spent all our money on the club shop, that's why we've not bought anyone in - we're skint!

Does this mean you'll buy match day tickets off kitbag n' all then? Are they dumping the new ticketing system? That only started a few months ago.

What does this mean for Forest in terms of money from merchandising?

In the past, I have always made a point of buying my shirts from the club shop rather than from an independent source because I've worked on the basis that doing so means the club get a greater cut of my £40 than if I bought from JJB or someone else.

I heard a while ago that that kits wouldn't be available in JJB or Sports Direct next season. Thought it was bollocks at the time, but it's given a little more weight with Kitbag taking over the shop.

Don't think that can be true as if Forest were able to exercise a monopoly over home shirt sales they surely would have done in previous seasons.

Wouldn't the other retailers buy the shirts from Umbro instead of Forest anyway.

That was pretty much my first reaction when told, and it's a belief I've held ever since, until I heard that Kitbag had taken over it.

If Kitbag have bought exclusive rights then it's perfectly feasible. Lot's of products are sold exclusively, much like the first couple of years the iPhone was on sale. If Kitbag have paid Umbro or Forest for exclusive rights to sell Forest gear through their shop and their website, then it could be true.

Just struck me as something that gelled with what I was told a while ago. Hope it's not true, as the competitive pricing will be out of the window, but I reckon there could be something in it.
