Forests Odds Are dropping for the Title!!

Some of the bookies are only giving 20/1 to win the title now. Most are still at 33/1 so if you do think we have a chance you best make your bets now before the rest catch up with all the transfer news.

How low will it go?? I reckon 14/1 by the start of the season.

Come on ND and BD.. Keep on signing!! Its just like a Saturday night, plenty of holes still to fill.

There's no value there though cause we're NOT going to win the league.

I'd be more tempted to bet on us to be promoted because that's more likely. Albeit still unlikely!

All we need now is another winger and a couple of defenders and we'll be more likely to challenge.

Oh, and the little matter of Blackstock.

Can't see us being anywhere near a title challenge, nor promotion for that matter.

Firstly there is quite a considerable gap in the depth and quality of our squad compared to teams such as Middlesborough, Newcastle and West Brom. Also we scraped survival depsite the 7 point clearance we were in the bottom 3 or just above it pretty much all season which suggests that we should realistically improve on this and distance ourselves from a relegation battle this time around. I think although with a couple more signings we potentially could compete for a play-off place, I expect us to finish anywhere from 10th-18th depending on injuries to key players.

No wonder my post count..
As a lot of you said, Forest deserve a relaxing season of mid table obscurity. Sending us into the prem now would murder the club and the 2m we've spent already would just be a waste of cash.

I think that the current crop who went threw it all last season will gain a massive boost in experience of what happened, maybe not this season but possibly next we could be a real force.

Stoke and Hull could have said the same thing but they are still in the Prem against all the odds. I don't really buy this "when we are ready" stuff. You are never going to be ready as you will always get promoted with a squad full of Championship-level players. What difference will one season make?

A big slice of luck, great home support, a lot of hard work and top quality management from top to bottom are what you need. None of these things are time dependent.

I stuck a tenner on us at 40's afew weeks ago but now some bookies are taking the piss with 15/1, which tbh, is a joke.
Anyway if you do fancy a bet on us next season then Canbet are still offering 40/1, with Skybet doing promotion @ 10/1 which imo is worth a tenner eh?

Exactly and Burnley are hardly a team full of star either are they?

A good start to get confidence flowing and anything is possible

Geeze,
If we can sign Virgin and Brawn AND get them to agree... We'd beat Galactico 2.

what are the odds for playoffs saying?

Paddy power still have us at 33/1 for winning and 8/1 for promotion.

Top 6 finish is 7/2 (or if you want to be a little more conservative you can go for the over 70points at 10/3)

there is value if you back each way though so you can finish 1st 2nd or 3rd , maybe i'm being optimistic but i've had a fair punt @ 40/1 each way a couple of weeks back , i just thought we were overpriced and i reckon we'll start the season around the 16/1 mark.

Having said that the league's extremley competitive though, a good start could build the confidence for the rest of the season, having said that a bad start could see a repeat of last season. Its exiting for me because we don't know which end of the table we will be looking at come May, although bang in the middle would do for me!

Should the next 3 signings be Jones, Gunter and Mills - I think we'll be in with a very good chance.

I stuck £30 on us at 40/1 yesterday at William Hill, i just have a good feeling, don't ask my why........

Oh and i was told by someone 'in the know' to go and put money on us now why the odds are high because in the next two weeks our odds are going to plummet with the signings we are going to make!!

Save your money until October. We won't get a good start, Billy's teams never do. Look at his record at Preston and Derby - 3 consecutive seasons in the top 6, but only 7 wins combined in the first 30+ games in those 3 seasons. Our odds will drift, then we'll pick up and then it'll be time to count your money.

Who said it's a mistake? Why not have your best run from the middle to the end of the season, rather than start like a train and then fade away? If it's worked 3 times in a row, it's hardly a mistake is it?

We're going to have almost a whole new team, it'll take time to gel.

Would be such a strong defence.. but where would Wes play!?!? And we dont have anything at LB good enough for this level so surely a LB (Lynch) is still on the wishlist.

That top 6 is decent odds.
