Forest will batter someone soon...

what they actually mean is that at some point we will deep fry one of our opponents. Nothing more nothing less so I wouldnt get your hopes up ;D

Personally, I think they are writing the opposition's team talk for them and I wish they'd STFU.

The way we played against Blackburn we deserved to batter them.

I think we may lift our "Sky Curse" tommorow with a hammering.

Just got a feeling.

Forest player spouts utter nonsense shocker.

Get on with your job. Every other side deals in actualities rather than possibilities. We haven't battered anyone in a while, nor do we look 'due.' We create a handful of chances a match and never look likely to take them. If we batter someone then by all means, let's bask in the glory. But you do not win 1 match in 8 if you're just a short distance away from battering somebody.

Lets face it. These stories are written during one interview where the paper extract info for 3 or four interviews. Chambers probably made a comment on the back of another interview several weeks ago and they have printed this for some reason !

Gunter has given about 4 interviews over the last 2 weeks. Why is he not training I ask ? Because he gave the single interview 3 weeks ago !

we will never batter anyone due to the fact we cant go on and finnish a team off we just sit back and let them back into the game, derby game springs to mind as does many others, when we develop a killer instinct and keep a clean sheet maybe we will manage it

I think that was due to tiredness.

Winning at Blackburn then Derby a few days later really took it out of us in that second half

We won at Blackburn?

When was this?

Fingers crossed that this does come true at some stage. I would say we battered derby but that was definately a game of 2 halves.

I think we will at some point find a decent partnership upfron,t a decent settled back 4 and put the right people in their right positions Ando in for Garner etc. etc.

But until then I expect more of the same. The best partnership I have seen so far is Adebola and Earnshaw to be honest. We don't seem to start them a lot in games though and my personal opinion is that we should do. It has to happen at some point anyway because I think we have now experimented properly with all other combinations and none of them in my eyes have worked effectively (I guess Blackstock and McGoldrick does a bit but only away from home!!!!)

Keep going.

I think I may be able to find a job for you at work. You've dug a bigger hole by yourself than any excavator could do in the same space of time.

;D

We aren't gonna batter anyone! This mythical game where we do score more goals than the opposite team will be a 1-0 bore fest. We'll score early then spend 80 minutes wasting time, playing backs-to-the-wall hoof it away football ...... after which Billy will say we 'Battered' them.

But saying that I'd still take a win like that than none at all ::)

I dont think we'll batter anyone anytime soon. We had these same types of articles from calderwood and players last season...and it never materialised (unless a 2-1 away win at palace, and a 1-0 home win vs barnsley constitute a battering....).

It'll be considered a battering if we take the game 1-0 whilst creating the 20+ shots that billy likes to see. Or maybe if we win more throw-ins (and manage to deliver them to one of our own players!!)

You can be as pedantic as you like of the semantics of 'batter'.

For me its simple, win by 3 goals or more.
