If any members of the armed forces are wanting to go and have no one to go with, I'd quite like to go to this game!

Just noticed that this game is also a Kids for a Quid game, so I'd imagine there'll be a fairly big crowd depending on how many Reading bring.

Nice touch and all that, but as a season ticket holder I'd like to know where all these freebies are going to end?

Also, surely it's only fair to level things up by make a similar offer to other armed forces serving in Afghanistan, such as the Taliban?

While I like to see the ground as full as possible I tend to agree here

Something needs to be given back to the people who are there week in week out

You mean apart from champagne football and the promotion race?

Come on season tickets are better value this year than any year in the last 10 or 15 years, enjoy it while it lasts! :nowink:

Something like 'bring a friend for free' wouldn't be a bad idea for season ticket holders. Perhaps not free, but a cheap ticket if you are happy to change seats for the game to sit with a friend?

Try and find me armed forces that DON'T go to Afghan etc ! Whilst I see your point, the majority of the forces don't travel in batallions etc, so whilst it's great to see the Mercians etc going as a group, it's hard to pin down the individuals. As I say, I do see your point but as there's no proof of deployment as such that could be used in the ticket booking.

I may even turn up in uniform seeing as I felt a tad underdressed last time lol

By 'Derby' game, I think they mean teams within a certain distance as they'll expect more fans to come to it and it was right after Christmas when there are traditionally high attendances.

Whilst I commend them doing this, I think they should vary it a little and include other people who have worthwhile careers and put themselves into danger.

Therefore I'm proposing they do this for members of the police force.

And sit them next to Sedgred. lol

High attendances after Christmas?

I thought we'd proved in the stadium debate that after Christmas/snowing/Saturday/lame was the excuse for lower-than-expected crowd?

Didn't the season ticket holders just save £10 on a fa cup match?

Yep, you are right - £15 for my usual seat which I thought was a decent gesture.

And its very good to see the club doing something decent for the forces personnel.
