Forest v Leicster, are we that bothered?

So I work with a couple of Leister fans who are acting like the Fa Cup final is a week on Sat and dont get me wrong I would love to beat them but looking at the slow ticket sales in our stands and the lack of songs we sing about them are we that bothered?

It winds them up so much when I tell them Derby is the only game that means everything to the Forest faithfull and maybe its only people like me who live on the fester boarder that are that botherd about this game. Any views on this?

I know a lot more Leicester fans than sheep so for me personally it's a big game. Generally though, Derby will always be THE game.

Derby away is way more important. I want to see that Tyson corner flag on their sheep shaped centre circle! Youuuuuuuuu Reds!

It only means something to me because of their attitude to us, much the same as with County. I do consider them our second rivals, but really, I only want to beat them because of the songs they sing about us and what their fans say about us. It's not like with Derby, when I want to beat them because I hate them.

The best way I could articulate the difference in feeling is to say that if Kasabian were from Derby, I wouldn't like their music.

I went to see Kasabian they were immense until someone chucked a leics flag on, ruined the whole gig, but your right if they were Derby fans I would never have gone. Also I eat Walkers crisps but could never drink Pedigree Bitter. HA!

When we drew fester in the League Cup a couple of years ago, their forums were alight like Christmas Tree's, all the bright eyed mangy foxes looking forward to their cup final.

We had umpteen prats on here, wetting themselves and wondering why it was almost a non event for Forest fans. Living this way, it is a bit of bigger game because obviously there are some fester fans about, but generally it is because Forest v Derby is the one to stir the blood.

Leicester are geographical rivals, Derby are real rivals..............To the extent that I will drink Pedigree bitter until the cows come home.....gift from the gods

I only hate Leicester because a friend did time because of there scummy supporters.

I don't see them as rivals or anything though. Just don't like the place either.

Am I the only one who refuses to eat Cherry Bakewells? I know they're not strictly form Derby, but they've got Derby in the name, so they're out.

I'm more bothered about beating the blunts, Leicester is just another game, Derby is the only true rivalry in this div.

I hate Derby, the town is a dump and their team is scum. That said, Derbyshire and the Peak District is beautiful, so I don't hate the county particularly. I mean, would somebody from say, Matlock, actually support Derby? Then again, Lee Westwood is from Worksop and he's a Forest fan not a Worksop or Notts fan.

I dunno, Bakewell tarts are just too f***ing nice, and I like the countryside.

I care because it's a Forest match I would like to win, particularly given Leicester's start to the season being so impressive it will be a challenging fixture.

I feel similarly about the Doncaster game - although the challenge should be reduced.

In my eyes, they are from Derby. Their music is utter w**k.

The only reason why I care is because their fans are, in general, an arrogant bunch. I lived with a Lesda fan at Uni and he's a really great friend, but when it comes to talking about football I refuse to listen to him.

They think that the sun rises and sets at each end of the Walkers, and for that reason alone I want us to beat them.

I care because I'm driving 200 miles to see this game. I also want us to win because the Leicester fans are taking it so seriously.

However, not being a Midlander myself, I don't really care about the game as such. I'm not even that bothered about Derby. Or at least I wasn't until Robbie Savage started acting like a w**ker. Before that, my token dislike of Derby was rooted in a feeling that as a Forest fan I was obliged to dislike them and nothing more. I personally hate Liverpool, Wolves, Gillingham and Sheffield United more than Derby or Leicester.

We better Sell-out for this!!!

I think we probably will. When I bought my tickets last Saturday evening, I had to abandon my plan for sitting in the Main Stand because there were only about three individual seats left in each block and they'd barely been on general sale at that point.

Given that Leicester fans filled both tiers in the Bridgford End for a meaningless cup game I think it's safe to say there is interest from down Fosse Way.

They sold their allocation some days ago. There's plenty after a seat in the home stands too.
