if I lived nearer I would have checked it out for deffnate.

I went to a reserve game a few years ago, and Vincent Fernandez really impressed me.

Not been to a U18 game in ages, will certainly pop down to this one.

Will be interesting to see how good the current crop of youngsters is.

I went to a reserve match about 4/5 years ago now and all I can remember was James Perch clearly being the best player on the pitch at Centre Half.

I used to get the train over early to watch our Under 19's back when they ruled the world.

Still just about remember the team:

Formann

Hudson----------Thompson--------Dawson--------Robertson (possibly)

Cash-----------Jenas---------------Bopp-------------Reid------

------------------Westcarr--------Antoine-Currier--------------

What could have been.....

Tutts, I remember going to this final (see attached), our winning team got the trophy presented to them by the one and only David Platt.

Miserable git, and proud.
Look where they are now (from www.soccerbase.com):

Pascall Formann - nothing after Arminia Bielefeld in 2007
Niall Hudson - nothing after Halifax Town in 2003
John Thompson - Notts County
Michael Dawson - Tottenham Hotspur
Gregor Robertson - Chesterfield
Brian Cash - nothing after Bristol Rovers in 2005
Jermaine Jenas - Tottenham Hotspur
Eugen Bopp - Free agent, wanted by Portsmouth
Andy Reid - Sunderland
Craig Westcarr - Notts County
Mickael Antoine-Curier - Hamilton Academicals

So you could say that all but 3 made it really, with Reid, Dawson and JJ really making it?

How could I forget Keith Foy?

Bopp was tremendous that game.

Haigh was in the team as Thommo was on crutches.

Always suprised me that Hudson never 'made it.' Terrific right back, great engine, great cross.

Pascall Formann never really recovered from Winnits scoring a penalty past him.

Out of all of them at the time I thought Brian Cash would of made it in the game. Superb right winger who used to leave defenders on there arses for fun. I think he had quite a bad injury that slowed his progress down if I remember correctly.
Wouldn't surprise me to see Billy and his staff down saturday watching this one before they travel to cardiff.

Cash was quality although always seemed to dissapear around the 60 minute mark and then get subbed.

To add:

Phil Haigh played nine games for Halifax in 2002 but that's it.
Liam Kearney was with Cheltenham until May 2003 but nothing since.
Absolutely no trace of Paul Fenton, so perhaps he quit before turning professional.
Robert Wild is the same.
Gordon Love played for East Fife between 2002 and 2005 but nothing since.
Andy Haskins was with Forest 'til 2004 but left the club and football.
Tom Groves also has no records on Soccerbase.
Keith Foy played 21 times for Forest and once for Doncaster before quitting football in mid-2003.

As for the QPR side, Nikki Bull is still playing - at Brentford.
Marcel Nugent disappeared.
Danny Murphy (not that one) played for Altrincham for a little while.
Oliver Burgess made a few appearances for QPR before turning out for Kettering, Northampton and Nuneaton. Retired in 2006.
Lyndon Duncan played for Exeter after QPR but disappeared in 2004.
Alex Dick played five times for Hayes FC.
Justin Cochrane has had a long career in the lower leagues, playing for Hayes, Crewe, Gillingham, Rotherham, Yeovil, Millwall, Rushden, Aldershot and now Hayes and Yeading.
Marcus Bean is perhaps the most successful, having played for Swansea, Blackpool, Rotherham and Brentford. Played in the Championship with Blackpool.
Richard Pacquette had a long lower-league career as well. Mansfield, MK Dons and currently, York, range amongst his 12 clubs.
Richard Brady never turned pro.
Ben Walshe played for Ebbsfleet and St Albans.
Patrick Gradley also played for Ebbsfleet until 2004.
Kris Robertson played for St Mirren, Dumbarton and Aberdeen.
David Wattley played three games for Lincoln in 2004.
A. Patrick-Heselton has no record after leaving QPR.
Berti Brayley was a West Ham player, on loan at QPR, who also played for Swindon, Canvey Island, Hornchurch, Heybridge, Aldershot, Farnborough and Grays.

So yeah, not many made it then!
