- That myth that Tyson can't finish must be dented somewhat after that strike!
- the person who made that video wants shooting for their choice of music.

Totally. He finishes from a tight angle following his quick reactions to follow up a spill. He picks his bounce before firing in a powerful shot and he rounds the keeper to score. A great example of how good he is ! He states it's the first time he's felt this fit going into a season ! Good things to come for Tys maybe ?

Some very nice goals there. Great ball and run for the second goal, great awareness by Adebola and run for the third goal too. Almost telepathic those kind of passes are, hope we get to see a lot more of them next season!

We'll ignore Earnie missing from 5 yards shall we :D

Most of those matches played in the lower leagues, hardly prolific stats for a striker.....

No wonder my post count..
The setups for Tys's 2nd and 3rd were world class. Exactly the type of play we've been missing recently.

Very constructive, well done proud of ya...... ::)

The reason I put those stats up is because I find it nauseating the way people cream over a 3rd division striker, And lets make no bones about it that is all he is....... He proved last year that he needs to many chances to tuck opportunities away. We have got better now so will be ok for a sub spot and use his pace for the last 10 minutes of matches but that is all he should be used for this year...... Anybody who thinks he will be scoring freely this term or even getting double figures :D :D :D :D

Either that or flukey punts forward and a crap defence? :D

Do you mean the one that was almost identical to the Man City goal just a shade closer???

We are on the verge of a new season... Tyson is perhaps on his longest injury free run ever, and we are having a dig.

He was part of a Prem team when we first entered CC1 wasn't he???

The lad is class on his day. He needs to get that in his head more.

I'm not having a dig at all, just a joke :)

I'm very pleased with the preseason preparations so far, but was gently chiding the suggestion that the build up to the goals might be describable as 'world class' :)

I'm curious, what is it? Big Brother's on so the mrs won't let me have the volume on like. ;D

I did lol at Earnie's over the stand miss. But some good finishing by Tyson, nice one.

Earnie's only little, so 5 yards is, like, 50 yards to Adebola.

Hmmm. Point. World class is abit much. But remember sir, you have created the best, most observed Forest Forum online. When these lads we sign are not training they spend lots of time surfing, and they are bound to look at stories involving themselves. s-h-i-t-e, Collymore had never heard of Blidworth till he came on here!!!

Do you have any reasonable suggestion why he can't? If he keeps getting chances like he did against Burton, he'll get double figures easily.

Stats don't tell us shit, really. Tyson was instrumental in us getting promoted from League 1, when he came back for our good run of form at the death. Goalscoring charts don't tell you how many goals he has played a part in, which is a lot of them.

I find it astonishing, the ignorance people have towards forward play, thinking the goals column is the be all and end all. Football is a team game and I couldn't give a shit if Tyson scores 20 goals or 0 goals... he'll work his balls off for the team and constantly cause problems for opposition defences and set up goals for others.

The creaming over Earnshaw is far, far worse. The guy misses some right sitters, loses the ball when in great positions and doesn't really create anything for others either but people still think he's amazing. He needs to score at least 20 goals for me next season. He cost us a lot of money and we can do without him missing from 5 yards.

I daren't go over my reasoning why Tys is an important part of the team, even if he doesn't score a lot but I have said it to death.

As said, now for a full injury-less season and I think we may be surprised. I haven't seen him look that sharp for ages. lets face it, the new strikers will allways get that mental 10% extra from any player !

The reasonable suggestion that makes me say he can't is he hasn't got double figures in the league for the last 3 years (and hasn't looked like getting double figures) What makes you suggest he can change that stat? Now don't get me wrong I think he will be a decent sub that we can bring on late in games. He should however never be starting as we have better than him and players that are proven to score in this league.

Earnshaws record is secong to non in this league, rest assured we would be in league 1 if we didn't have his goals to fall back on last year. The same can't be said for Tyson. There you have it chump now deal with it :) Tyson is an over rated footballer where league 1 is his standard.....

Perhaps not. He did play on the wing for Reading though, as he does often for us.

I was just saying he's a good finisher, which he is when he gets a chance he doesn't miss that often.

I agree with you, Look don't get me wrong I think he is a good utility player, just not a striker. I like him on the left wing pushing forward that was the point I am tring to make......

He is a league 1 striker, however on the left wing he could make it in this league. IMO ofcourse :)

Ive never creamed over Tyson. I reckon Joe Garner is better personally.

Proud of me? Jolly good. Couldnt in good conscious return the favour though.

Oh and by the way I don't find it nauseating the way anyone loves either Tyson or Earnshaw, in fact I find it a rather puzzling stance that anyone would feel like that.

I too think Earnshaw misses quite a lot, but bloody hell how can you criticise the lad? He gives his absolute all every single time he plays, and his 16 or so goals last year were vital towards us staying up. You can't possibly ask more from him.
