Carolina Dynamo are a local team here in Greensboro, North Carolina. It's a pretty good semi pro team. The ground is fairly basic though (only 1 stand). It's hardly the city ground, but you do get approving looks when you walk in wearing a Forest shirt!

Yeah, there are a few cricket (and rugby) teams in this area, there are quite a few people from the UK, S Africa and Aus. Hoping for an MLS team to move here to help make up for not getting to the CG anymore - but very doubtful.

Not too many Brits were I am (Except I am in the UK until the 29th ). A few Aussies but there are less of them since I started putting the poisen down

I live just over the border in SC so I know about the SEC Football. Still cant understand why our lot from Columbia run around in caps with "C*cks" written all over them. You'd think they could find a better nickname! :nowink:

Tell me about it, from having season tickets to one game a year and I had to watch that.... still kept convincing myself we could come back until about the 70 minute mark...
Raleigh is a couple of hours from Charlotte. It is the State capital but Charlotte is a bigger city. Raleigh has the Carolinas NHL team and Charlotte the NFL and (very poor) NBA team.
