Would of posted in My Forest but for obvious reasons I can't, came across this today and couldnt believe it to be honest. I know footballers are allowed to drink although it seems to have upset quite a few Forest fans and rightly so. You have to feel sorry for BD at the moment, this is the last thing the club needed before a massive game against Wolves.

Sounds pretty plausable.

Apparently they were in Hooters at some point on tuesday night.

I'm not too surprised by it really, Might explain our poor form all season.

i can understand people being pissed of at the players lording it up but these things always come out after a heavy defeat and the people who start them fail to mention how pissed they where themselves so it is very hard to judge if the players have down anything wrong other than go out for a few drinks with Friends

personally i couldn't care less what they do when they are not playing all that matters is how they perform on the pitch

What they do 'off the pitch' has a lot of influence on what they do on it. Certain players aren't in the best of shape so its only natural to highlight what is going on behind the scenes.

True but the thing is half of the party could of been on cokes for all we know but people are so fast to jump to conclusions, your face only needs to be seen to get tarred as an abuser of your privileges and a drinker. And then people moan about players being stuck up big timers when they don't wanna interact with fans outside at night

i dont know what to think any more. Other than i dont think going out and getting hammered and openly saying you dont care what happens to the club, would have been particularly high on my agenda after that sort of display last saturday. I'm not saying they should never go out but id rather they did it after good results, or just generally had a bit more professionalism and concern for their own form/preparation for a game, especially at this crunch stage of the season that we're about to enter in to. They sadly dont seem to show this though, and it is very very sad to hear them saying (if true) that they dont care what happens to us. That is about as tragic a thing as ive heard on here. They dont really seem to be prepared or ready to battle this battle for us to stay up. Or even care. Im worried for saturday and i think we'll probably get beat again.

Actually now living in Nottingham, as i havent always done, i now realise how much they go out and i find it very surprising and actually quite shocking. i never realised quite how often you'd seen your own clubs professional players out getting wasted, and on the eve of games quite alot. I imagine personality wise i might be quite different to a lot of them and just assume/imagine them to be more professional, like i believe myself to be with my own career, and put their work before anything else. But im probably just being naive in that hope/belief i guess.

I'd be very interested to know all the names in there in bzr. I dont want to generalise and id be surprised if the likes of Cohen, Perch, or Moussi were among them but someone's already said breckin was so maybe im just being too trusting i guess.

sad, sad times. :(

its about time people got over this. Every club in the land is no different and unless players have been told not to go out by the club management or broke specific club rules on late nights and alcohol etc. there is no probelem. It seems some of our supporters are looking for any excuse to have a go!

I couldn't care less what they do in their social life but to be getting rat arsed in the public eye and such an important time of the season is BZR :D

I remember seeing Bennett in there the weekend of the beer festival and he walked around like he owned the place. Whilst not being drunk, I still thought 'what a tosser'! We're shit and these idiots walk around like their premiership players!

All of them out!

This season is nothing to do with beer.

For most parts we've just been crap. They've just been more drunk while being crap, that's all.

Who can forget the infamous pre-Plymouth lashfest resulting in front page headlines and pre-game booing from the stands?

Other warning signs include in-fighting amongst supporters at Burnley and a manager blasting the players' off-pitch habits.

It's sounding scarily familiar...

I heard today from friend at work it was true. But that could be a rumour from Vital site as i think he said it was on there. I'd wanna get mashed if i had been slapped that bad. In our weak defense, did they score a bad goal???

Whatever. Wolves battered us last time, i hope we can pinch something.

If the players were out on the lash the other night I think people are missing the main point....

What the xxxx are professional footballers on aprox £5k a week doing in the overcrowded student dosshole serving a shot and 2 half shots of your favorite spirit for the price of 1 that is BZR?

If they stuck to the Living Room et al then they'd be left alone they deserve everything they get if they go to the chavvy end of town

There was no midweek game. It was a Tuesday night.
Our best ever team was forced to get pissed by the manager, often on the night before games.

I didnt say i put my career before ANYTHING else, but certainly I would put it in front of a night out, when i knew i desperately had to do my utmost to be at my best the next week, following a terrible performance the week before. And i certainly wouldnt be anywhere near at my best at work if i just went out on the lash every night and didnt give a toss. i'd sure as anything get the sack. (i'm not saying by the way they go out every night).

But lets look at it, they probably went out saturday night after the thrashing, got trashed and so probably werent the best in training sunday/monday. Tuesday comes round, they've finally shaken off the excesses of the weekend, but they then go out tuesday night again, and do exactly the same thing, meaning they probably dont put quality work in wednesday and maybe thursday. And then thats most of your week's training gone, where they've failed to put in sustained quality work and so most of the week's wasted.

Now with most of our players, a lot of them are in such a comfort zone, that getting the sack or even being disciplined doesnt even cross their mind, they just do what they want (e.g McGugan). whilst the rest are doing what they want, because they've presumably been told by davies that theyre not wanted at the club after the summer, so they dont care either way. Im thinking this is the situation with the likes of Garner, maybe Chambers, Wilson, McCleary, who knows who else.

Then you've got the players we've got on loan, who amount to quite a few now, and clearly we needed a few players desperately, but whatever you say, loans are never going to be quite as committed as permanent players, especially in a relegation fight. Though i have been impressed with osbourne in particular since he came, its a shame hes out on saturday. Anderson obviously hasnt been too bad this season, but Lynch has never really convinced and ive yet to see mcsheffrey contribute anything meaningful. As for Turner, we dont know yet either.

All in all when this is all added into the equation, youve got quite a sticky situation.

Actually i DID say that (looking back at my post), i apologise, but didnt actually mean it. I just meant in this situation/context i would put it before anything else, especially a night out

we have a side full of 18-22 year olds and tbh I mean no offence here but anyone who has worked with this age groupe will know there work ethic leaves alot to be desired, english pro footballers are the luaghing stock of europe tbh thats why most top premiership clubs keep well away now days
