Forest Player mobile

Hi guys,

Has anyone managed to get Forest Player to work on a mobile at all?? I know it's Flash based, which my phone (HTC Hero) supports, but I just get a big fat "no entry" symbol when I try to watch anything and the live commentary page just doesn't properly. I know Flash works because I can happily watch things on the BBC News website, which also uses flash.

Just wondering if anyone else has spent much time trying and/or managed to get it to work at all??

I havent tried it on my mobile, I find it doesnt work on my desktop as well as the old Forest World used to tho! Why have they fiddled with something that was working fine?

I checked with premTV and they thought it prolly wont work because the security model needs flash<>browser communication that is not available on mobile devices

OK thanks. You'd think it would be in their interests to get it going on mobiles. I for 1 would have signed up a couple of seasons ago if I could have used it on a phone, and I bet there are plenty of people out there who would sign up if it worked.

The iPhone has a new app that allows you to pickup local radio. I don't know though if this is affected by forest world and Internet contractual obligations.

Thanks, I'll have a look. Although I suspect that just uses the radio section of the BBC iPlayer. Annoyingly I can get that to work perfectly on Radio Nottingham for 99% of the time. Basically until bang on kick off so I just get a repeated message about the content not being available. It's 'cos the Forest Player people have exclusive rights to the commentary online.

I'll have to stick to making sure I'm at home to listen on the laptop plugged into the stereo for now then I suppose!!
