Forest Issue Vuvuzela ban

From Nottingham Forest.com

Championship side Nottingham Forest have taken positive steps to keep the historic City Ground free from the moronic drone of the vuvuzela next season, by banning supporter’s from entering the stadium with the South African trumpets.

The monotonous rumble of the banausic plastic horns has accompanied every single World Cup game so far, driving many hundreds of supporters to the mute button or, if unlucky enough to actually secure themselves match tickets, the knitting needles.

Vuvuzela’s have already been banned from many public events in, due to the inherent health risks (Tinnitus, nose-bleeds, perforated ear-drums, ruptured throats, complete Catatonia, moaning old biddies.) being directly linked to the ‘instrument’ – Forest are the second football club to officially outlaw them, following in the footsteps of German side Borussia Dortmund.

Chief Safety office Alan Bexon, said;
“Our fans don’t want to have these trumpets, they already moan for hours on end about younger fans shout, singing and cheering during the match.

After recieveing a deluge of two requests, we have decided at at Nottingham Forest that these horrid things will be forbidden from the City Ground.”

“Anybody who does not abide by this will face the consequences.”

Prominent Nottingham Forest supporter and known troublemaker Richard J Crouch commented:
"This is typical of Forest's complete disregard for the fans and their inability to see a marketing opportunity staring them in the face. These would sell by the shed-load in the club shop. If it ever had stock.

:D

For once, I think they shouldn't cash in! The Vuvuzelas can stay in South Africa!

w**kers! I've bought my kids them for next season. Anyone want to buy 6 forest vuvuzelas?

Update:-
A noted former England International and Premiership manager, who would be England manager now (but for discrimination), has roundly criticised Forest's ban, suggesting that the ban would not be in place if the Vuvuzelas did not originate from an ethnic country...

i cannot see what the problem is with them.....They at least hide the droning voice of Mick Mccarthy

Poor show from Forest, they could have announced this last week before fans went ahead and purchased them ready for the friendlies and season start. :spankarse:

i would have no problem with a few kiddies having them in the trent end but 5,000 south Africans blowing on them none stop is when it becomes a problem

I like Mick Mccarthy, he has a knack of not mincing words.

erm is this not a wind up then?

take the vuvuzelas to away games?

i dont mind them i think it adds to the atmosphere but if someone was blowing that thing down my earhole all season he could be at the bottom of the trent by the third game of the season!!!!

Could you imagine sitting next to someone who was blowing it all 90 minutes???

Can we still take them to away games?

No, you can't. This is a ban on all Forest supporters owning vuvuzelas, if you look at the small print of your season ticket packs you are allowing the CEO and his lackeys the right to enter your house in the search for forbidden vuvuzelas.
