First Team Squad
Quick! To youtube!

Can he play left back?

(sorry...)

The french lad who was at lesta who missed that penalty came along with a load of good youtube videos.

Means gash all.

He doesn't have "a load" just a couple, which suggests a defender.

Cruz joined the Pi Kappa AlphaFraternity as an undergraduate. He was the first UNLV player to earn MPSF Newcomer of the Year honors in his freshman year in 2007, and was named to the all-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation first team after scoring five goals in 2008.

WTF does that all mean?

it means that he went to college, where he most likely got a sports scholership.
he was named newcomer of the year in his league (since there are lots of colleges there are lots of leagues)
the all maountain pacific sports federation team will be kind of an all-star team made up of players from that league.

not sure of 'soccer' players go through a draft, but I assume they do.

after looking on wiki - UNLV was his college, the univerity of Nevada, Las Vegas, so he probably knows his way round a casino.

he was drafted 41st overall in 2009. That means there were 40 players assumed to be better graduating from the 2009 college classes of america...

If he's only 20, I reckon I could check raise him without him even knowing.

We need the Arizonian one to explain.

explain what? its simples...
American athelets go to college, they get drafted by proffesional teams.
simples

He calls us Nottingham. Someone twitter him it's Forest.

I like his assumption that there's only one football team in Nottingham though.

"Danny Cruz at Nottingham Forest training, Pat Onstad coaching u23 Canada in Florida in same hotel as Jamaica and Lovel Palmer"

From some guy called Glenn Davis (http://twitter.com/#!/GlennDavisSoc) presumably an announcer of some sort.

Danny Cruz Training with Nottenham Forest
Cruz tweeted yesterday that he is training with English side Nottenham Forest. Players train with various clubs throughout the offseason but it is worth noting that the young player is out trying to improve his game. Training with high quality teammates will only help in the 2011 season.

So just to clear up, it's def us and not the sadpies.
