Forest going down i'm afraid

That was probably one of the most miserable football experiences I've ever had the misfortune to witness.

A total and complete humiliation.

At first I was optimistic about Billy Davies appointment based on his track record of achievement, now however I fear that I was grossly wrong.

Tactically inept, no passion, horrendously naive, horrid long balls up to Tyson - It's like some kind of sick horror movie!

Let's not forget that Derby were languishing near the drop zone and totally played us off the park

If we don't raise our game significantly then I see no evidence that we can escape relegation which would be a total disaster for the club.

I don't mind Forest losing but to lose without any passion or commitment makes me furious!!! Why the f@ck didnt someone kick Commons?? What's wrong with this club??

Rant over !!!

A total and complete humiliation. to lose to a newly relegated team when we have just gone up

Yes. Doncaster played us off the park. Derby didn't.

Am I the only one who thinks we weren't outplayed whatsoever? To me, every time we lose, loads of people go nuts and make out we've played the worst game ever when most of the time, we've just lost out a fairly even game. I mean, we had more good chances to score goals than Derby... and really, McLeary, Tyson and Perch could have done better with their chances. Do people just ignore that so they can just slag off and blame anybody and everybody connected to the club?

Yeah, we lost. It happens.

I genuinly believe I give a balanced view, and always go with my own opinion, rather than hopping on the bandwagon along with everyone else (pretty sure it was just Me and You that were still saying we would go up, when we were miles behind Carlisle last season) but I thought we were really poor on saturday.

Ive seen us worse, no doubt about it, but I was bewildered as to what had gone so wrong in 5 weeks since I last saw us in person (vs Plymouth) or even since I last saw us on the tele (Derby away in the cup).

There was very little to be pleased about with the performance (McLeary did quite well when he came on, and for the last 5 minutes we suddenly looked twice the team, which annoyed me further as to why it had taken us 85 minutes to start playing as we can)

I hate slagging my team off, but on a scale from Woefull to World Class, I couldn't give that a higher rating than poor.

Oh no, I don't think we were brilliant, at all! Though often people take my words as meaning that, even though I haven't said it.

Both teams had their spells, both teams made loads of f*** ups. They took their chances, we didn't. Simple as. It doesn't mean they played us off the park. It is possible to play ok and lose (like my team did yesterday!).

If Forest were shit, I wouldn't hesitate to say so. In fact, I thought Breckin was absolutely awful - he seems to be a different player without the captain's armband - and I thought McGugan had a shocker.

Tyson, Earnie tried what they could and why McLeary wasn't starting let alone brought on earlier, I don't know. He waltzed past their defenders with ease. I don't care if he loses the ball or gets tackled a few times during the game. If we give him free reign to run at players like that, he'll create a few chances as well. That's what wingers do. Gary Crosby and Franz Carr got tackled sometimes... no doubt John Robertson did too. Bet they get moaned at for it and all ;D

Didn't mean to go off on one there! :D

I'll agree we didn't get outplayed! For three reasons:

1. The first goal came from a set piece and the free kick was actually taken 10 years in front of where the foul was committed.
2. The second goal game from another free kick and it wasn't even a foul.
3. Yes Perch pushed Hulse for the penalty, but the ball had already gone past him when the push was made!

And last of all, I felt that if Earnie had scored with that chip in the first half, it might have been a different game!

The main problem on Saturday was the extensive long balls up field, we didn't really play in the attacking flowing football we all know we're capable of!

This is scandalous!!! If true, surely no one can blame Smith for not reading fatties free kick?

How many other D***y attacks commenced on 21 February 2019? The dirty cheatin' sheepshagging b*****ds.

There should be an enquiry and a rematch.

That was me and thee.

I seem to recall Ray Von starting a thread about those who kept that faith and named you and me in the title.

Surely you were complaining about a ref somewhere, too! :)

Most likely. And I thought they'd get better in the CCC ::)

But it's just the same refs. They don't have ones per league, they just have a pool of them. We've had some 'Premiership' referees lately. Wasn't Howard Webb in charge of one of our games recently?

Yeah, the cup game at Pride Park.

The guy we had on Saturday is also a sometime Premiership referee. I have no idea how or why, though.

Is he? I know we've had Martin Atkinson a few times.

To be fair, the Premiership ones we've had have usually been far better than the rest. Maybe because they are used to the slightly faster pace and higher pressure of the Premiership, they do a better job down here.

I know it's very hard being a ref and all, but sometimes, like Oscar pointed out a week or two ago, the inconsistancy and the occasional ignorance of the basic rules fo the game is quite baffling.

regard ref decisions jesus there have been bad decisions in every game where we have played your lot, and not being bias but the decisions have been both ways platers on both sides getting booked/ sent off when they shouldnt and players not getting booked when they should free kicks taken from where ever, and dont get me started on stuart atwell ;D

I'm not being biased.

Andre Marriner, who we had on Saturday was afwul.

He made some absolutely shocking decisions that affected both sides.

No i agree, if Earnies lob had gone in or we hadn't conceeded within 5 minutes of the second half it could of been a different game.

I mean Perch should of scored McCleary's shot could easily have been deflected in and if earnie had been match sharp he would of bagged a hattrick.

We werent great but i didn't see too much in derby, i mean there first goal is a debateable handball as it clearly hit Nays arm, the second to me looked like a handball when the ball was just in their half they then got a silly foul just after and scored, then the penalty which was a pen, so with a bit of luck on our side could of been a different game.
