Nottingham Forest and Derby County have been fined £45,000 each by an Independent Regulatory Commission for failing to control their players.

Both clubs accepted the charge following an incident of mass confrontation in the fixture at Pride Park on January 30.

The clubs were fined £35,000 and warned as to their future conduct, whilst a further £10,000 suspended penalty imposed on the clubs from a case earlier in the season was also activated.

Forest's Chief Executive Mark Arthur said: "We are surprised at the severity of the fine that has been imposed.

"We will study the FA's written report before deciding whether or not to appeal."

If that club I refuse to name had any class about them, they would have paid our fine for us. That was the second one they did, the second one caused by one certain individual in their (so called) team. Are the FA totally blind or just stupid? And you've been involved in two of them so you have no ground to make any comment.

If they do lose points and we were directly involved in 2 of the incidents and only got a fine I would piss myself laughing for the rest of the season.

It was outrageous we were fined more in August than they were. Does this fine include the £10,000 suspended fines from that incident which must have beenn activated.

So. Forest get fined £45k for trying to take a quick throw in whilst Derby get a £45k fine for letting their players and manager carry out offences which, had they been committed outside the ground would have earned them a community service order at best.

There's a logic to that somewhere. Damned if I can see it, but there must be some somewhere.
