Been on this forum for ages without posting. I spend most of my time pouring over page after page of squirrels hoping that one of them is a new left sided, or attacking midfielder. We all know how that has panned out.
Anyways I'll be watching the game at a North London pub on Saturday and was wondering if there are any other London Reds watching it? The last match I went to watch there was only me, a Leicester fan, and a Blackpool fan. The Blackpool and Leicester fans enjoyed the game much more than me. So if you know a good North London pub where there's likely to be a few Forest fans then let me know.
 
The Sports Bar and Grill in Victoria station is really good, and the assistant manager there (Richie) is a Forest fan and posts on here occasionally too! Not necessarily N.London, but nice and central and a good atmosphere.
 
I'm in N London (Tufnell Park) but am away this weekend. The Dartmouth Arms is a nice pub which shows most football but like the guy above said, you're gonna struggle cos of the Arsenal game...
 
yeah that's the constant struggle, arsenal and forest games seem to clash quite a bit. my local tends to let me have one small telly in the corner when arsenal are on, problem is i hate being in a pub full of gooners. i think they're probably the most irritating supporters in the country, and that's not just because they always park outside my house.
 
My brother lives in Wood Green, which I'm never too sure if it's Arsenal or Tottenham territory. :dunno:

Not sure where to watch football round there though. There's a wetherspoons on Turnpike Lane, and another one likely to show the game down on the Green Lanes near Finsbury Park. I don't envy your predicament. :D
 
with you on the arsenal fans front. arsenal were also meant to sort out holloway road tube as part of the planning permission for the emirates and have still not gotten around to it (or have been let off doing it). creates total chaos every home game.

as for sat, there's also that sports bar on city road just near angel (green something or other) which i think shows every game going. good luck.
 
conflict in our house, the missus is Arsenal (she is from paddington NW1). We did rock paper scissors to see who gets to watch their team live.

Will ESPN spoil it and mention forest score during the broadcast??

There's a few of us trying to organise somewhere to watch. It does seem to happen a lot that we are scheduled against arsenal. As I live in Camden this is a real issue!

The one near Angel - do you mean the Offside Bar? Have watched Forest in there before and there were a few other reds there. Their website is rubbish, no idea what is being shown. May give them a bell.

Would definitely prefer a proper pub or bar rather than a sports bar. Need to find somewhere that has Sky but not ESPN then they have no choice but to show us ;-) Will post on here where we end up deciding on. If anyone else in the area comes up with a plan be great if they could post it to this thread and maybe we can get a reasonable group together and some atmosphere.

Should have told her to go to the pub and watch it, then you could stay at home in peace.
 
won`t most pubs that have sky be showing the gunners game? The the espn subscription is cheap no?

We got Bt vision and it cost us nothing cos we got ss1 & 2.


Roll on the swansea game, my first trip to the city ground this season!!

Quality!

Unlucky having a partner that's a proper fan - I could've got away with just by not telling wifey that 'her' team were on the telly (or playing). We've got a multi-room subsciption too but none of that helps you I'm afraid.

I think its in the rules that telly companies spill the result of matches being shown on other channels.

i live in holloway, near the odeon, and the faltering fullback or the worlds end in finsbury park are my regular haunts but it'd be nice to find somewhere new with a few forest fans. i'd love to spend the evening talking about that bit on the 1989 season review video, where those lads claim forest would win 9-0 if franz carr was playing. you reds.

See, I thought so too - but the presence of many and Arsenal fan down Wood Green high street made me wonder. That and the fact that the Emirates is about as far away as White Hart Lane.

So you lot had a party, a sort of Forest party and I wasn't invited.

It was you lot that missed out as I am well sexy for my age. Considering the prosthetics and incontinence, I do well.
