..by the FA with "failing to control their players" as a result of the melée at the end of Saturday's game at Pride Park, Radio 5 reports.

OS link.

Both clubs have till 17th Feb to respond.

SUGGESTION!

Go to youtube find the footage, quickly, then go to Keepvid and save it to your computer, cos it'll be taken down shortly....

This fixture seems to be gaining a similar rep in recent years to Milwall West Ham. I'm just glad the fans can let the business be done on the pitch and not the city's ! I asked an old mate earlier if he could remember anything like it. He said he never remembers the intent etc on the pitch (added comment, or outside as they never had the boys lol)

Is this fixture turning into something more than rivalry ? I sincerely hope not !

It's since Savage has been at Derby - Scarf, winding up our fans, spouting deflamatory crap in the media, inciting our players etc etc
And NLN has colluded in the whole Clown Boy circus.

Bizarre you say that as I was thinking it as typing. Just thought my deliberations may be clouded ! Lets face it. He has nothing left to offer footy wise, so he may as well try to make himself a favourite with fans by other actions without the talent to back himself up ! I'd love to hear what the consumaste professional Psycho would say about him ! (Jees I sound liek the daily mail referring to Diana)

To be blunt. They should be. We're both guilty as hell.

Doesn't matter about who started it, or who kneed who.

Guilty as charged.

Was it Gunts who followed up the ball. I must admit, he's very...errm....fiery. Good to see from a fullback, but I think he needs to see a bit of restraint. Just had a thought. Him and Jules on each side. I wouldn't want to be a winger lol

I think you mean the Daily Express (that's the paper that's always been obsessed with Princess Diana anyway).

I agree with you about Savage. The fixture was never this fiery on the pitch before he became involved and it infuriates me that the media always bring up Tyson's flag waving but never mention Savage's scarf twirling. That was what really triggered all of the ill-feeling between both sets of players and it's all spiralled out of control ever since.

Oh no! another round of NLN trotting out at every oppurtunity 'our players were well behaved' This punishment will be more severe than the last and will include the suspended element from the last one. I know what you are thinking but you know the charge will be upheld :punish:

Should accept the charge regardless of who started it.

I do believe NLN did knee Billy boy, he shits himself when Billy turns around.

Kelvin getting hold Savage and telling him to sort his players out made me laugh too.

Can't see how Ned saw it though as Bill says . .

Easily pleased . . . .

Interesting...

The recommended punishment for Football League clubs guilty of mass confrontation between players is up to £50,000. But the guidelines state any repetition in a season could mean a fine for the club of up to treble this amount or the deduction of two points in the event of very serious cases.

If this went anywhere near a points deduction then the lawyers would definitely be involved. If past scenes at other clubs are to go by then this is sod all. Granted we are both guilty but the penalty will be peanuts.

Bring on the fine, move on from the kneeing and let's get back to football.

And transfer rumours!

Denying the charge will only make the punishment worse. The FA might as well determine guilt using a ducking stool for the fair hearing you get from them.

Best to just take this one on the chin.

I find it strange that a lot of players pushing or holding each other consistutes "out of control". It's not like there was any fighting or anything.

Seems strange both incidents are started by a surge of Derby players piling into 1 individual player? ::)

It's funny how only incidents that get into the media spotlight are dealt with by the FA as failing to control players. I went to a league 2 game last season and there was a very similar incident on the touchline but no charges brought.

No wonder my post count..
Who gives a shit? When it comes down to it, we're second and they're 18th.

Not surprised that we've both been charged because it did turn a bit ugly. I've never known this before in our games with Derby. I mean, they've always been fiery, but never like this.

I hope we don't deny the charge as it'll only make it worse for us.

Surprised they haven't chosen to charge any individuals as I half expected Hulse, McEverly and Gunter to get one.

The Nigel and Billy problem is a completely seperate one, isn't it? I think his complaint was to the League Managers' Association and they'll deal with it or refer it to the Football League.

we all know the whole handbags incident could have been avoided if the ref would have blown up for that digusting two footed lunge 10 seconds earlier.

Wasn't at the game so can't really comment on the standard of refereeing but am under the impression it was poor. If so then its not suprising when you look at the other high profile games he's officiated this season.....

01/12/2009 Huddersfield Town v Tranmere Rovers
05/12/2009 Darlington v Bradford City
19/12/2009 Queens Park Rangers v Sheffield United
26/12/2009 Middlesbrough v Scunthorpe United
02/01/2010 Sunderland v Barrow
16/01/2010 Burton Albion v Shrewsbury Town
30/01/2010 Derby County v Nottingham Forest

Upcoming....

02/02/2010 Rotherham United v AFC Bournemouth
06/02/2010 Accrington Stanley v Morecambe
