Its a Robin Hood reference, I think: elsewhere in the world Sherwood Forest is referred to as Nottingham Forest.
 
Anyone been before? Wonder if the owner knows of it's dual meaning? lol
 
This reminds me of the Bill Hicks biography I read; The subsection of his High School that he was in was called Nottingham Forest. I was confused as to why it would named after an English football team - I wondered if they had other parts of the school called Bolton Wanderers or Ipswich Town lol , I suppose if it is an alternative name for Sherwood Forest it makes slightly more sense, but it's still a bit random.

Apparently, he didn't like it.:(

I have, and sadly its nothing to do with forest:(

My girlfriends brother lives there, and we went with him one time. I was really excited, until we got there.Its a very odd place, but they do good cocktails from what i remember and i think thats the place that gave us free popcorn with our drinks

really?? That would be a shame. I was thinking maybe it could have something to do with us, given our old nickname is/was the 'garibaldi', who was a revolutinary leader in Italian history. just a thought, probably not.
 
looks like it has that bubonic plague type feel to it - the black scorpion dish looks fetching.

Nottingham Forest is a neighbourhood in Houston.

I went there last year. It is nothing to do with NFFC unfortunately.

I'd have to confer with my friend Hugh, who found it in a newspaper article - along with the reason, but I think there's a distillery in Jamaica called Nottingham Forest and it took its name from that.

We stayed for one drink. It's an odd sort of place. Quite narrow and dark, it specialises in cocktails and I don't think it had beer on tap at all. I had a mojito and paid €8.50.
