Forest Bar In Benidorm

wollo red

A. Trialist
Just returned from Benidorm, where I found a bar which had two massive Forest badges outside. (Its my first post, so I hope the picture turns out). The bar is owned by Pete from the Meadows, and when he's not there, his son runs it for him. This bar is situated in quiet town called Albir (about 5 miles outside Benidorm), and he also has another bar actually in Benidorm (never got chance to see this one). The bar is called Winning Post 2 and I would highly recommend it to any Reds fans visiting that area. I was made to feel very welcome there, and there is memorabillia upstairs of various stages of our illustrious history.
This is not a plug - (i'd never met the owner before my visit) - but just thought I'd let you guys know in case you are visiting the area. A truly nice guy, and a pleasant bar and surroundings to spend a few hours drinking and reminiscing. I can forward the address to anyone who's interested.

Try Legends Bar in Bonanza Square, Benalmadena - owner a big Forest Fan & lots of Reds memorabilia on walls.

Damn, I managed to see Sticky Vicky (shudder) but did not see this bar :( Gutted!

ohhhh my, read the title and thought, i hope he aint talking about Jokers lol

In Malia there is a bar with a Dj whos a forest fan, spotted me in my shirt and got well excited!

When I was in Rhodes a barman saw me in my Forest shirt and he offered to buy it off me!

At the V Festival a few years ago (the same year I bumped into Tutts there I think, as an LTLF-related aside) there was a barman who was a Forest fan. My mate had his Forest shirt on and he asked us if we knew the score of the Saturday game. Can't remember who we were playing but we won and in return for sharing the happy news he brought us back a tray of beers and told us to keep the tokens. Needless to say we visited him again many times over the weekend.

Being a Forest fan is great, you get free beer

Earlier this year when in the Dominican Republic, I was wandering through the airport (wearing a Forest shirt of course) when I noticed two security guards looking at me.

I was a bit worried as one beckoned me over, only to be saluted with a Spanish-accented "Ah! Nottingham Forest!"

I understand the Chairman has a place in the Dominican Republic; maybe he's been wearing his shirt over there too?

Benidorm - Meadows.... Same shit hole, just one is a little hotter and closer to the see...

I saw that on a bus going out from Benidorm, couldnt beleive my eyes as it was out fo the way. My mates were atking the p!ss so now I can prove I saw it , thanks

That's a necessary precaution. You don't want to unwittingly drive into Basildon if you can help it...

I have been to Brentwood - it was closed.

I blame me choosing to live around the med on one of clement freuds grandfathers. I was in a stationaty queue of traffic trying to leave silverstone after a car gp in the 70s.

Bloke cutting his hedge said, "you're all going through hell to visit something in my backyard that i'm not interested in"

I wanted to be able to say, "you go through hell to fly for a holiday to where I live."

I sold my house in Nottingham, bought a yacht and sailed around the med.

Not met him again, yet. I'm a patient chap though.

I keep twatting about an google google google dut cum trying to convince myself that I went to that little shopping area before it was named thus. Failed. They all look the same.
