The current climate has very little to do with people showing an interest in buying the club

What does impact it is the amount ND has invested into the club. If he is the venture capitalist as previously stated elsewhere, he will want a return on his investments. Forest are not in a perfect position to start demanding hundreds of millions for the sale of the club, so until the club looks favourable he will not look to sell

Urrrgh
but who will invest in forest? Show me the money?

Its like saying 'big bob buys chips from that chippy, so people are bound to buy em from that one down the a52

The point is that there are people out there willing to invest in football clubs! I thought that was pretty clear?
Yeah but he's invested in Derby. So no-one really cares.

I have read the article, cannot find anywhere in it, how much he has or is prepared to pay directly into the sheep pen

No mention of which group he has aquired his shares from....

a) The 93% American owned Profit only Shares, bought in return for the clubs soul

or b) The 7% debt load shares which are all responsible for all debts at the pen.

If it is option b, then they are in for some money...........

but option a, Only the american Investors sharing the load out in hard times.

Nothing to wet yourself about.

I was going to say, investor doesn't instantly mean they have plushed the club with 50 million ! And on another note, it's another person for the club to be in debt to. The fact they are looking for investors suggests something on its own merit !

Lost the plot has hinted at something which always gets drowned out by the vociferous few. The FACT is that ND has overseen the worst period in the club's history. Sure, he seems to have stabilised our finances but I have suggested before that I might just swap sensible debt along with a place in the Prem with no debt and a place in the 3rd tier. Perhaps ND could try to entice other investors in the club or consider selling out to somebody who sometimes allows heart to rule head. Football is a precarious business but I'm afraid that success only seems to come for those who stick their neck out a bit. Before I get drowned in a wail of abuse, I'm not suggesting a mad 'administration-causing' spending spree, just a little more sensible investment. So far, we haven't got very far have we? I'll never forget that my £1800 worth of shares were in effect removed from me on the promise that the club could be saved. Funny that many other clubs have survived and prospered despite being in a worst pickle than we have ever been.

Yeah - I'm dead prejudiced me! I've overlooked the fact that we have had 10 years of heady success. Other clubs HAVE been in a worst state than ours was as ND took over and HAVEN'T been through the hell we have. If that's what was meant by the comment 'don't let facts get in the way of prejudice'. I'm a Forest fan through and through - I don't need to spout off about what my qualifications are for having an opinion on the Reds - we HAVE been apallingly run and not just in the time running up to ND's tenure. Something needs to change or perhaps some of you are happy with 2nd or 3rd tier football.
