I don't think they'll go for it though, it wouldn't drive any tangible benefit unless there was a specific strategy to attract male consumers.
Even then, I'm not remotely convinced that men respond to football sponsorship in that way - I've never felt any kind of desire to own a Capital One credit card, I never insured anything with Pinnacle. I have drunk Labatt's lager but wish I hadn't, and was a bit too young to be drinking Shippos, sadly.

Capital One made no secret that they were involved with Forest purely so that their staff could have benefits such as free tickets and discounted tickets.
The ability to also get a f**k load of free tickets and take them into schools etc sort of tied in with the 'teach kids about usiness' ethos that a lot of companies, especially in this sector, have adopted over the past few years.
Other companies sponsor as a mark fo prestige. Emirates, AIG, Samsung don't sponsor their teams to increase sales, they do so to be associated with success.
Alcohol companies tie in well with the demographic, and their ability to sell their product to the fans during the game would probably go someway to helping make said decision. A downside of alcohol sponsorship, though, is that they will not be able to put their logo on a kids shirt, which means their brand recognition amongst youngsters, something they say they don't want, but they really do, is going to be impacted.
I think targetting comapnies like PWC or Ernst and young could be a good move. Both companies have a big presence in this city (or just outside of it) and are doing excellently financially.

Think of the Irony though....Winnits said:None of the above really applies to Forest though!

Wonder if Capitol One will still sponser Sheff Utd
thehockleyhustler said:No longer sponsored by Captial One. They are now sponsored by AlphaRooms whatever the hell that is.
