I went to the game tonight and plugged in to Radio 5 Extra - it would have been nice if - occasionally - listeners were told what was happening on the pitch.

Instead we were subjected to a diet of Billy's strop with the Board; the big - but half empty - stadium; the subdued home crowd; constant confusion between Morgan/Moussie and Tyson/McGugan; the referee's suntan and the BBC's neglect of Martin Allen for the past 2 years . On that performance the BBC was bloody right and - obviously - had scraped the very depths of the barrel when choosing tonight's pundit.
