There's virtually no chance of getting anywhere meaningful north of London by train for this one. Its tight as it is, in normal time, and should it go to extra time and pens, then you really are stuffed.

With the away end still being on the eastern side of the ground, you will end up at the end of a very long queue for trains back into Brighton. It could, and can, take 40-60 mins.

Even me getting back to Essex, if the game finishes in 90 mins, will be a slog. Definitely not before 11pm. That two hour train journey from London is the real killer.

Remember 9 months ago when the fixture schedulers created 4 Forest/County date clashes this season? 1st April was one of them. If they had done their job properly there would have been more flexibility for this cup tie.

I’ve stayed over at that hotel for a game there. It’s basic but comfortable, you can park free with a street permit and it’s a comfortable walk to the ground. The station after the game looked horrible, wouldn’t fancy doing that at all

The few times I've been down to Brighton we always parked in that area, free parking along Coldean Lane. About 20-30 minute walk along the path that runs alongside the rail line. Always lots of folks walking in along that way and never saw any trouble. Quick get away as well from there after.

Good free parking at the race course too with a free shuttle bus service to the ground. After the match there is a small wait for the return buses due to the max exodus but it works well from my experience.

It does seem strange. the Champs league QF is the midweek after this match so why move it closer and give them less rest if they progress?

If we beat Brighton in the cup, i take it the Brentford home game will be moved to a mid week game as that weekend (26th/27th April) is the semi final weekend?

Having said that, Brentford tickets go on sale before the game against Brighton.

It'll have to get moved if we progress. Expect the Brentford sales to wait until we know.
