Think if anything highlights once again the ridiculous financial rules it's that Tottenham having finished 17th 2 years running and already buying Fernandez for £85m, are now being reported to be close to signing Tonali for £100m, and yet Villa having been in Europe for the last 4 seasons and winning the Europa last season are going to need to sell before they can buy.

Spurs income is somewhere close to double Villa's though so you are always going to have a disparity in ability to spend.

Plus, Spurs spend absolutely nothing in wages compared to what they generate. They are the tightest club in the country.

Now they feel like they have to spend otherwise there will be a revolt.

It does make me laugh Man United keep missing out on these players though because they don't want to pay the asking prices. Somebody has to take up the tight bastard position, who better than Pennysaver Jim

They've watered them down since original interpretation.

No 70% limit for Europe qualified teams.

No adjustments for player swaps. It's just whatever feels is agreed, even is feels too high etc
