I'd be a lot happier if we got him for a fee within that sort of price range. In the same way that turners price was 18mill to start with, I think if we are getting this guy it’ll be for 5-10mill not 15+

YeahNot massively keen on us paying eight figure sums for players in their 30s, personally.
That is a very impressive record, to be fair to him. I'm always cautious about us spending big on aging players, but it sounds like he might be a smart addition if a deal can be done for the right money.Yeah
I will add though, he is a very very good player.
He got 17 assists in 30 games from wing back 2 seasons ago, and has got double figures in assists 6 seasons in a row now.
He may be 30 but he is very athletic & fits Cooper's MO
I think they are a bit skint at the minute with all their financial shenanigan & they don't have that much value to raise in their squad.Juve signed him for €13m last Summer and he played 54 games in all competitions last season, mostly impressing. I doubt they'll be looking to sell him for any less than what they paid.
Lodi had a big falling out with Simeone last year, and he got in a row with Athletico ultras so ended up in the bomb squad.I think they are a bit skint at the minute with all their financial shenanigan & they don't have that much value to raise in their squad.
On paper it is similar to the Lodi situation last year.
It was a 4-year contract so anything over 10m will see them profit based on amortization rules, I believe.Juve signed him for €13m last Summer and he played 54 games in all competitions last season, mostly impressing. I doubt they'll be looking to sell him for any less than what they paid.
Wouldn't surprise me. RWB is supposedly Aina's best position, so adding quality at LWB would also enable us to get the most out of Aina too.I wonder if we'd see Aina as RWB (at least when we're playing a back 5) ahead of Aurier/Williams if we sign a good LWB like this. Makes sense to me, with Aurier seeming a bit off the pace so far this season.
Early days, imho. I think he'll be as good as last season, unless we actually stick with a back 3.I wonder if we'd see Aina as RWB (at least when we're playing a back 5) ahead of Aurier/Williams if we sign a good LWB like this. I reckon Jonjo has as much chance of a start as Biancone. And Biancone and even Powell?
Out of interest, what makes you say this?I reckon Jonjo has as much chance of a start as Biancone.
OK job done then. Sell him pronto. There's no need to repeat because I might end it all if he does. It is Omar's opinion that Cooper doesn't rate Biancone. That's all we need to say here.

I thought he looked ok last year and pre season in the limited minutes he got, and he played in the B team last night presumably with a view to getting him fit.
Not that it counts for getting on the pitch, but he seems incredibly well liked within the dressing room with the other players and Cooper too.
Edit: Biancone, not that bald tosser Shelvey
