Fester v Forest in London, Sky have ruined my day!!

Right then,

I've been a bit busy, so first good work to everyone I saw at pompey, I was ever so slightly hungover, and really needed a haircut and shave, but seeing as it is impossible to buy a razor in Portsmouth for fear of slicing a ship open or something, I was hanging all day! Good work to the bloke who told me there was a copper three people behind, when I was having a sneaky smoke as well! Still took him five mins to reach me!!

Anywho, I wrote the sports schedule for the live sport at work a few weeks ago, and the big game next Monday was quite clearly us ( as far as I'm concerned ), but then the evil TV took over and decided to move Real Madrid v Barca at the same day, same time!!

Not a problem for you lot in Nottingham, in London, it's quite possible the worst thing that could have happened! Reds, always get preference in the place (pretty sure I proved that when I told the Arsenal fans where to go when we played hull), but what do you lot want? Big screen area with loads of you, or sitting round the other side surrounded by TV's with table service, by my fantastic waitress??

Call the ball please guys, I start taking actual booking for the spanish stuff at 6pm tomorrow!!

Give us the big screen in the corner, Richie! plus the wonderful table service again! :)

Probably won't make it up to this but you should try and advertise it on the Lester pages too Rich.

So where in london is this magical place run by a forest fan. If its not too much of a mission I can get half a dozen along for sure :)

Alright Richie, don't think I've had a shave myself since the Pompay game, after getting the hump from being asked for ID at 3 different pubs by the navy bouncers the night before. So here's hoping you have no problem letting a tramp into your fine establishment...

I'd definetly go with the big screen so that that friendly Forest fans can congregate together, and start up some chants such as:
"its Nottingham Forest Nottingham Forest FC, we're by far the greatest team, the world has ever seen!!!" to get a few odd looks from any Barca or Real fans. I'll be standing up whatever, as that's what I prefer as I have done for the past 4 or 5 Forest away games I've been to.

Alternatively when anyone phones up and asks "are you showing Barca v Real," just say no it's not on my listings and there's only the one game of any importance on that night..

Sky piss me off. They couldn't give a shit about our games. They ruined a 3pm saturday game locally for me when we played Hull. Not because they thought it would be a belting game but because they wanted some shit to put up against the ESPN offering. Then they ruin a good local game by moving it from a Saturday to a Monday night but then start advertising el classico ahead of us and put it on as a 3DTV game. SKY would rather spunk all over the studio about Barca and their set of obnoxious little diving, cheating pricks that play for them than show us so why even show us? Just let us have our Saturday 3pm games back and f*** off. ****S

I really wish people wouldn't pussy-foot around, and that they'd say what they really thought... :D

:tophat:

He`s got a bloody good point though, the potty mouth!!

For anyone intending to get to Victoria station by tube, the tube strike is still going ahead as far as I am aware, so there will be a limited service, and overcrowded tubes, trains and queues on Monday .. But then whats new, This is London!

I will be in the Vic Station Sports Bar tomorrow night - looking forward to watching with other Forest fans stranded down south! Just hope can get there in time - thanks Bob Crow(!)

As long as they don't close Seven Sisters tube station, I'll make it down. If thats closed then I'm buggered and will have to go back home to watch the match. I would guess nearly all pubs in London (obviously Vic Sports Bar apart) will just be showing, or give preference to some Spanish game happening tonight.

I'm hoping to make it across to Victoria tonight. It seems like most tube lines are running and most stations open, so hopefully there will be loads of Reds at richiered's bar. Looking forward to meeting some of you over a few drinks and a Forest victory.
