Burnley winger on way out
Published 23:00 14/02/10 By Alan Nixon

Burnley boss Brian Laws is letting exciting Ecuador winger Fernando Guerrero leave - because he does not fit into his survival fight.

The pacy youngster, signed on a one-year deal by Owen Coyle, has been told he can find a new club and looks set to quit Turf Moor permanently.

Guerrero was with Real Madrid as a kid and only featured on a couple of games for the Clarets. But he is keen to find a Championship side for the rest of the season.

And Bolton boss Coyle still has an eye on Guerrero as a possible cut-price capture in the summer if he proves his quality at first-team level in the next couple of months.

Seen him for Burnley this season, way better than McLeary but in the same vein, bit weak, tricky, lacks experience, bit selfish.

Not worth a go in my opinion.

He's on loan at Burnley for a season. He is contracted to Independiente. They want £2m for him.
