Hey everyone,

this is my third visit to your forums for a pre-match interview from one of you guys.

The last two times I had "Rich" and "Winnits". Is there anyone else who's up for asking about 10 questions on both Forest and Ipswich? They need to know their stuff about football and it needs to be done tonight.

Cheers,

That's the kind of line-up that dreams are made of! :)

I have no recollection of doing this, I think I must've been rohypnolled!

Hi, how do you think your season has gone so far?

Still early days, but we show signs of promise that belie all our results. Of our six games so far we've only had one genuinely had showing (against Watford). The general consensus at the City Ground seems to be that we are moving in the right direction!

What is Forest's main strength?

Currently our attacking options - we have strikers to suit all occasions, and some pace and guile in midfield to create chances for them. I still think we have yet to see the best from our attacking options - sooner or later somebody will bear the brunt of them!

What is Forest's main weakness?

At the moment it's our defence, we are painfully thin on the ground in that area anyway, and a few pre and early season injuries made that even worse. Whilst we did good business in the transfer window, that we didn't manage to strengthen our defence more convincingly is criminal.

Who has been your star player so far this season?

Tough to pick one, as we've shared the performances and goals around the team - I will go for Paul McKenna (although he had a poor game at the weekend!) as he's been what we've needed to hold our midfield together.

How do you view Ipswich Town?

I'm generally pretty positive about them - had a couple of good trips to Portman Road (sadly I can't make it this season), seem to be having a tough time bedding in with Roy Keane at the helm. In all honesty, I'm not sure whether I'd want him in charge at Forest and under pressure to deliver as he seems to be currently with the Tractor Boys. Hopefully he turns your fortunes around, but not on Tuesday!

If you could have any Ipswich player, who would it be and why?

Alex Bruce - I think he's a cracking Championship defender and just the kind of player we're in need of at the moment!

Do you think Ipswich still have a chance of a top 6 finish considering the way they've started the season?

There's always a chance - Keane did wonders at Sunderland after they had a poor start, but I suppose the difference here is that he was in charge for your poor start. I can't make my mind up about his managerial credentials.

Are Forest fans relishing an easy win against a faltering side on Tuesday?

There's a typically mixed view - the average Forest fan has seen pretty grim times of late and that tends to give them a very cynical outlook, so I imagine most are fearing this will be the turnaround game to kick off Ipswich's season! Some will be optimistic though, I'm sure! I tend to fall into the cynical camp.

Cheers, finally, what's your match prediction?

I am thinking a draw seems quite likely. A score draw, 1-1 or 2-2 with Ipswich equalising fairly late on.

I'll do one if needed.

Is our defence really the weak link this season? I think our main problem is finishing games when they're there for the taking. I mean, we could really use more quality defenders, but credit to our defenders, I think they've had a brilliant season if we forget about one or two games. Our strikeforce is brilliant on paper, and sometimes they've done the job great, but there's no hiding the fact that we've lost a couple of games because of our inability (I hate not having the spell check button!!!) to score goals!

I think our defenders deserves much credit for the job they've done this season! Wes, Kelvin and Gunter has been solid, and those who has played at left back have (have/has ARGH!!!) done well, considering the fact they're not natural left backs!

Our strongest link is behind the back four though.. ;)
