Fair play to Derby

Yea i am sick of all this we are going up and they're not shite - they played well and deserved their win they were prepared to fight for it.
I am delighted with our season - last year we were in a relegation dog fight so let's get things in perspective,
and if i hear Victor Moses' name again! it's like the bloody matt mills saga...

Fair play to Derby is a cause I would support.

They wanted it more than we did.
Fair play Nigel, we'll bounce back. Thats what champion's do.

Billy will take you up. He is a top championship manager, his record speaks for itself.

He almost did it with Preston. He learned, and did it with Derby. He has had the good sense not to disturb a settled ship by bringing in 5 or 6 in the Jan window - it was a disaster for Derby - they were top two in Jan and fell away after the January signings.

He will have learned from his disasterous start in the Prem, and with proper investment from your board (unlike Derby's, who just didn't back him in the Prem), when (not IF) you go up, he will have a fighting chance next season.

He can spot a quality championship player a mile off (McKenna, Earnshaw, Oakley, Howard), but can he do the same at the top level? Only time will tell.

He should have had the good grace to shake hands after the game yesterday though, that was poor. If you aspire to even be class enough to tie Brian's bootlaces, Billy, then you need to learn a little more class in defeat.

Good luck in the Prem next season. From a proud and happy Ram.

Don't think they would be too bothered if they didn't win another game all season.
If we had played half as well as we can and have been, they would have been on the end of a hiding.

Are 'Fair Play to Derby' going to release a charity record?

Exactly.

1) Would you rather win at home and lose away and be sitting in 2nd place.

or

2) Would you rather win at home and lose away and be sitting in 18th place.

And to you. Some good points there. Got to ask, why are you called 'Paul Man U' if you are a Ram?

It is worth remembering though that for every 20 idiots we get a reasonable poster like the one above.

Can we please try not to abuse the reasonable ones?

Some fair points there but even though Nigel probably did tie Brian's shoelaces his Dad never shoved half of the oppositions staff out of the way to jump in to a ruck.

Perhaps that's why Billy wasn't prepared to make up at the end. :hmm:

My 15 yr old son is called Paul, and as I have been unlucky enough to live in Stockport for the past 20 years,
there's nowt wrong in my eyes that he supports his local team - even if they are called Manure!!

I just used his sign on details - hope that's okay.

We lost to clownty during Clarkie promotion season (the Sir Charlie Palmer Day that the saddies still celebrate over 15 years later). It didn't stop us going up. Its unpleasant to lose to Derby but in the scheme of things it doesn't matter.

They set their stall out to stop us playing and sneaked a winner, a typical win by an inferior team over a better team. Even Manure and Chelsea lose to dross occasionally.

Phooey. I saw the added time 'cuffuffle' - handbags for me. If anything it was Hulse who ran in at 100mph, clearly still full of adrenaline after his epic battle with Morgan all day. I think he edged it.

In my view there is no excuse for not shaking hands at the end. Its just respect. I like Wenger, but he lost a fair bit of kudos in my eyes when he refused to do the same with Mark Hughes recently.

Nigel did it and was on the way down the tunnel on the Tyson 'flag waving' day.

Game over. Shake, and move on.

Billy's a bit like that though, same as Sav. Other teams fans dislike both - I must admit I thought Billy was a bigoted big headed pompous twat at Preston - but when he was at Derby, at least he was OUR big headed pompous twat!

Sav's the same - hated him with a passion at Leicester and Birmingham - but one thing he does do is get the absolute maximum out of his (very limited) ability. If only some of our other players had his heart and desire, we wouldn't be staring relegation in the face.

Good luck to you fella (or lass, whichever you are).

Respect is earnt. Why would you shake hands with someone you think is a twat?

And Nigel Clough was not down the tunnel when the Tyson thing happened. Most of the Derby staff were in the ruck with their players.

I might be willing to be accept this well intentioned gesture if it wasn't for the behaviour of Robbie Savage.

Not only did he come out with a load of guff about the game being played in the right spirit - which obviously includes pulling up fouled players by the back of their shirts, always being the first player in the ref's face demanding that he books someone, and finally clapping his hands right in Blackstock's face right in front of the visiting fans after the ref had failed to pick up on yet another foul on Blackstock - but we also had to suffer his impartial words of wisdom on Radio 5 606.

"Fair play to Derby", not while they've got that w**ker Savage playing for them

Not that I'm bitter or anything.

We are allowed a blip in our season - a pity it had to come against the Sheep. Some ideas for discussion ......
1. Direby will find it harder to get enough points to stay safe than Forest will to get enough points for promotion.
2. I can see us winning our next three games - I can't see Direby doing anything like the same.
3. Direby did what anyone should do against a superior side - they were lucky enough that their tactics worked on a day when we weren't firing.
4. Direby are still fundamentally a poor team with inconsistent players. On their day, Forest are the best team in the division. Direby will, I expect, lapse back to being a stuttering team with little team spirit and poor management and tactics. Yesterday, they just met us on a bad day.
5. Maybe we'll play them in the cup next season.
6. They are still a nasty little team with nasty little personnel.

Not so sure. I think they'll end up comfortable. We are in a three way fight for automatic with two good sides. One of us will fall by the wayside - historically it's the suprise package that does - but I think we've shown enough to demonstrate that we have the ability to last if the bottle is there. I think it is.
2. I can see us winning our next three games - I can't see Direby doing anything like the same.
If we react to this positively and go back to the hard work that got us where we are now - yes.
3. Direby did what anyone should do against a superior side - they were lucky enough that their tactics worked on a day when we weren't firing.
Spot on.

I think, from what has been said to me, that yesterday's team was the strongest one they've fielded all season. We'll see.
5. Maybe we'll play them in the cup next season.
Maybe. :D
6. They are still a nasty little team with nasty little personnel.
Not all of them. One in particular is a very nasty piece of work.
