Must say I was impressed with that Morgan lad like, kept Harewood quiet all match then again Harewood was/is cack.

Today was more in the way of a cup game. We saw too many sides play out of their skins when they played us in League 1 to get too carried away when we do the same to one of his divisions 'big' teams.

The Premiership would be a step too far for this squad at the moment.

yep i'd go along with that although a play off spot is not unrealistic , looking at the betting on oddschecker we're as low as 7/1 for the title with vc (must be all the forest fans betting with them who opened accounts) and 14/1 is the highest available , that's probably far too optimistic to think of though.

I dont think Forest parked the bus, as the players were trying to push out when they could! More like Newcastle pushing up so high that there was no space in half to play the ball in - it looked like you were all over us in the second half but looking at it now I think we were pretty comfortable in letting you play that way

Against 'better' teams like Newcastle, the only stat I'm bothered about is the final score. They could've had as much possesion and as many shots as they like but in the end they didn't score.

I can't see us repeating this kind of second half performance again too many times this season

The second half stats would have shown that Newcastle had lots of possession but didn't really get enough on target to trouble our keeper. I thought Nolan and Smith made a fairly good job of refereeing the match and Carroll a good job of getting away with a shed load of fouls which the ref saw but chose to ignore. Our passing game went out of the window as theirs started to look good in the 2nd half. I felt that Moose was great in the 1st as was the 'jew but both ran out of steam early in the 2nd. I didn't think McGoldrick contributed much today. Blackstock was awesome - ran himself into the ground. Great result and great atmosphere. The Trent End were loud.

Our tactics were different second half, so were Newcastle's, hence why we didn't play as well as we did in first.

Who gives a shit, we had a job to do in the second and we did it.
