Thought id go again since we beat Norwich, even though I never normally do cup threads.

So what does everyone think? an absolute stuffing? Or could we nick an upset? :)

3-1 Man City
Darius Vassell with all 4, the own goal being a spectacular overhead scissor kick from the half way line.

It will be lovely to be able to just go and watch a game of football against (in my opinion- they've been shite lately!) top class opposition in front of a huge away support. Can't wait.

Don't know what the scores going to be and as long as it's respectable I don't really care. It should be considered a practice game for the new man. :)

There very hit and miss. They were immense against Hull, id go as far to say they looked World Class, but 2 days later, there losing at Blackburn.

Interesting fact about City, every game theyve won this season has been by 3 or more goals, and yet there so low in the table! very inconsistent.

Will we be led by a new man by then?Either way it will be interesting.Got a ticket in the home section ,hopefully there won't be much for them to cheer about.Think we'll take it back to the City Ground in a 1-1 draw

I'll settle for no cup run at all this year, in exchange for safety in the Championship.

City 2-0 Forest.

And I will be happy, perversely.

I honestly think we can win this game now,
I will go for a 2-1 win with the winner being a late goal.

Result unimportant, money in the bank at the right time of year, just in case Mr D's going to unlock the war chest and buy for the survival campaign

The intelligent thing to do would surely be to let Pemberton look after this game, even if we have someone appointed, so that they get a chance to watch us in the flesh before the Charlton game. Would make sense to me.

you can allways tell when a cup match against a Prem club is coming up, because of how many people purely register to ask for tickets, not realising that the reason people usually buy tickets is to attend a game ! And those that do have 1 or 2 spare would more likely be selling them to a long term member of the forum than someone who registers just to tout for them (rant over)

I actually reckon we could nick this if they rest a couple of players! City 0-1 Forest.

However, I don't think they will so with Robinho, Wright-Phillips, Ireland, Richards et al. It'll be City 3-0 Forest

P.S. anyone seen the caption on the MCFC.co.uk homepage? ''Robinho-od''. Amused me anyway!

For some strange reason I think we will pinch a draw and get a money spinning replay at the CG.

2-2 with Forest claiming a late equalizer.

I am brimming with confidence now and can predict, justifiably that we will win this game by seventeen goals to their mere four.

It is a welcome relief though. One week of watching and listening to football without the added stress of points on offer is much appreciated by me.

Win, lose or draw, it giveth not a shiteth, lets just enjoy being out of the bottom 3 for 2 weeks.

I'm cautious about this.

Under Calderwood I predicted a brave effort, plenty of bravos, but ultimately a demeaning defeat by two or three goals. With a new man at the healm and City ailing it could be prime time for a surprise.

Sadly I think our defence will see to our exit. At each level the lethality of the strikers seems to double, and with our leaking defence (newly guarded by a rusty and under-confident Scarecrow Smith) I fear for us.
